I drink either water or coffee while shooting craps, and I've noticed a fairly wide variation in the quality of coffee available from a cocktail waitress.

Is there any consensus as to which casino or casino empire has the best comped coffee in their Las Vegas casino(s)?

Glad you started this. I am very fond of the Mirage's table coffee. Hot, fresh, strong, and, since I have a bit of fine motor control missing from my left hand, they are happy to put it in a nice tall paper cup with lid; I just have to ask. Their regular cup is one of those glass things with a little cup handle, which I find it hard to use. The bonus part of the paper cup is that it stays hot and drinkable much longer for slow sipping. I would guess it's a simple Colombian blend with a nice aroma.

Re: title. I'll fix that.
If the House lost every hand, they wouldn't deal the game.

I wonder if dealers treat coffee drinkers a little better since its a nice warm aroma and an alert player instead of a boozy drunkard who is a few seconds behind the rest of the table.

coffee is always a matter of taste and individual preferences rule. The early morning coffee is probably better if it comes from a real coffee service rather than a bartender's one pot drip coffee maker. And of course freshness is probably the most important factor.
Water quality, temperature and time in contact with the grounds seems important though purists now steam the coffee grounds and tea leaves.

Coffee tastes better when its free and when you win too.

A few years ago had a local restaurant with a sign about Coffee Still Only Ten Cents. One taste and I knew why. I'd pay twenty cents not to drink it.

One Indian casino, mainly slots, on the East Coast of Florida several years ago rolled a "coffee wagon" into the casino in the mornings. Hot, fresh and free. Then it would be wheeled out, perhaps when the 20 gallon containers were empty or something or the early morning buses had disgorged their riders. I had simply been driving by and decided to turn in on a whim, so I had not been gambling and they knew it. Indeed I was such a neophyte, I actually asked about a craps game, not knowing it was illegal. Yet they were generous about the coffee. Casinos have to learn that in certain places, you just even try to cut costs.

I too, enjoy my comped early morning coffee while staying Downtown.

While my wife sleeps, I quietly make my way out for some early morning VP.

My favorite is Coffee with Bailey's, NO whipped cream, thank you!

I really don't have a preference as to which coffee is superior since it's disguised by the Bailey's.

It's probably all pot brewed at the bar. The early morning CW's all look tired working that swing shift.

Now, as to the comped K-cups for the Keurig machine in my room, why must they provide that crappy Green Mountain stuff?

We get a box of sixteen Starbuck's Dark Roast from Walmart to bring along for the stay, with some splenda packets too.

That's usually enough for a 4-5 day trip.
I don't know everything but I know a lot.

Pala, CA: The sever actually warned me away from their coffee-- "Could I get a black iced coffee?" "Are you sure?" "Yes?" "Okay..." ... "Thanks, could I get another on your next pass?" "Have you ever even had our coffee before?"

Also on the same trip, there was one woman who would not stop about how great the coffee at The Orleans was. I managed to identify it based on her description of serving coffee in tiny highball glasses, whatever they're called. It's... okay.

I was green chipping for maybe 20 hours at the Nugget on Fremont a few months ago and and was intrigued to see what I'd get for that...

Rack rate rooms, 4 ***FREE*** K-cups per visit.

Well, I WAS impressed, to be fair.

If you must know,

All of the RUSH Tower Gold Club Rooms and Suites at The Golden Nugget have complimentary Keurig Machines and K-cups.

No other place Downtown has them that I'm aware of, unless maybe The Downtown Grand does.
I don't know everything but I know a lot.
