I realize your OP was about 3 years ago, but I only came across your "Ultimate x - Jackpot pics - Let's Add Some!" thread today, 4 Mar 2017. Prior to my Oct 2016 trip to Las Vegas, a fellow poster (thanks, Dieter) recommended I try UTX when I take a break from playing BJ. I usually play Deuces Are Wild single play, max bet for $0.25, so the transition to trying UTX was fairly smooth.
It sure encouraged me to play more when I got this after just a few hands; it's not as great as some of the other pix, but OK for me as a first-timer!

Can you - or anyone - confirm if "vulturing" is nothing more than keeping your eyes peeled for abandoned multipliers on the machine in front of you (or to your left or right)? One poster said a good time to "hunt" is early Monday morning after the Sunday crowd has gone to bed.

That's exactly right... And you want to play only 5 coins, instead of the "max 10." You're looking to play the free multipliers (which double or more the pay table). WRT "vulture", maybe I'll just be an "Eagle" and not actively scavenge from machine to machine. I'll just put on my laser eyes and scan the machines as I walk to my target, plus check the machine in front of me and to either side or behind me.

Yeah, when I go to Vegas, I definitely don't go out of my way to look. Probably the worst market for vulturing that I've seen.

Yes. Only bet 5 credits. You must also play all hands in order to bet 5 credits. So, although still +EV, it's kinda lousy to find a lone 2x on the very first hand of a ten play game.
