I thought he only played blackjack, but I could be wrong.

mds, are they comping your entry fee? Or do you have to put up the $5k cash? With it being slots, I think I would be chicken to put up that much money on something depending totally on luck. But then again, it's pretty tempting to give it a try. If they comp your entry, I know I'd be there.
If the House lost every hand, they wouldn't deal the game.

Being invitational makes wondering useless though. From what I hear as well, these kinds of things often get sold beyond promised limits and lose their luster.

They can sell more entries, but, if they do, the extra buy-ins get added to the grand prize.

Basically, all the entry fees are given away as cash, and then there is a significant amount of freeplay added on. This is a good tournament, with over $1250 per entrant added on in freeplay. Of course, that's why it's invitational -- they will not invite you if you do not give them a significant amount of play.

So, you know that they give away all the entry fees as cash prizes. And you know that they add on over $1250 per player as freeplay. And you're asking if it's +EV.

Wish me luck. That's what I will need. Is there such thing as Luck?
