I'm coming to G2E. Just starting to putter around with hotel options and wanted opinions.

I'm traveling alone, and I'm not fussy about the accommodations. I just need a clean bed, and something close to the Venetian / Sands Convention Center.

The three choices I consider are Quad, Harrah's and Best Western at Casino Royale.

For my 4 nights, the price I got today is Quad $384 incl $80 in resort fees, Harrah's for $372 incl $72 in resort fees, and Best Western for $381 with no resort fees.

Between Quad and Harrah's, it's a no-brainer. Quad probably won't be done with the room renovations, and it's more expensive, and a further walk, so forget it.

But between Harrah's and Best Western, I'm undecided.

Best Western is only a couple bucks more, and saves me some steps. But will I be sorry if I pick it?

I stayed at Harrah's last year. I like it, but since the price is similar, I'm tempted to pull an F.U. to the resort fees and stay at Best Western.

FYI: For shits and giggles, I also checked the LVH since I figured they'd probably be real cheap, and I could hop the monorail to Harrahs and walk over. They're $395 so they're out. And across the street at TI it's almost $500! I'm not even gonna look at Venetian's price...

So waddaya think? Best Western or Harrah's?

Harrah's. Much more to do and closer to other stuff. You didn't mention if you are driving or flying, but if you are driving and f you want to save money for gambling you can get Hard Rock for about $45 a night on Kayak right now.

Wynn is close to Sands convention center.
If you don't care about gambling, Wynn's room is good.

I just checked the price for Sunday to Thursday on Hotels.com, and Harrah's is $335.44. Through total rewards, it is $371.84. Both offer free cancellation.

In the interest of saving steps, it is very convenient to go from Harrah's to the Venetian. The shortcut is to exit Harrah's at the main entrance on the east side where the buses park. You will see the parking garage to the Venetian. Cross the street/alley, then there is a break in the wall where you can walk into the Venetian parking garage. Go through here and it will take you to an elevator. Take this up, and you will be at the Venetian valet.

I think you'll be amazed just how short this is.

G2E is sandwiched between the Jewish holidays, so it's Sun to Thur for me.

Prior experience says parking at Venetian during a convention is a major PITA, that's why I'm not considering something like the Hard Rock.

And the Wynn? Are you serious? I checked. It's about $500 PER NIGHT!!!

So, since its gotta be a short walk, I'm down to Harrah's or Best Western. Which should I choose?

You can still park at Harrah's if you stay at Hard Rock.

Holy crap man! Don't you gamble at all while you're in Vegas? Give some moderate action to CET and I'm sure you could get that rate down substantially. I would never pay money to stay at Harrah's or The Quad on a weeknight. And I'm not a high roller.

The last time I was in a CET property was in October.

Since nobody responded to my original question, let me repeat it, in more direct terms:

What's your opinion of the Best Western?

If you have to choose between Best Western and Harrah's, I would say Best Western.
It will be less noisy and youl have better sleep
