I was wondering if pagers/transmitters would be deemed illegal if they were used for communicating to a BP that a favorable count is happening at a particular spotters table. The only way I could see the casino finding out that our team was using these is if one of us were to be back-roomed and searched. However, I can't find any information to whether the casino could bring any legal action against us that could result in jail/prison time. It would seem silly that they could bring any legal action against us considering the devices are not counting the cards or any thing of the nature, but simply allowing us to communicate more efficiently. I have been looking everywhere for an answer to this and have not had great results. If anyone out there has any information on this it would be greatly appreciated.

Even though the electronic device does not alter the cards it communicates information to and amongst the cheaters and would most likely get you charged with a felony. Is seven years enough incentive for you to split hairs in court about the issue? '

So you're saying if I use my cell phone to call a buddy to come play BJ with me at table 2, that I am committing a felony?
I didn't think so.

I am not a lawyer, but a casual reading of the prohibited device regulation (NRS 465.075) makes me think that pagers would be perfectly legal, as long as you don't alter them in any way. To meet the rules of the casino, you might want to step away from the table when you send your page. I vote no felony.
