got $1030 in freeslot play.
used it on $5 deuces wild (98.91% return)

turned it into $980 for 95.1%.

previous results:
$770 comps + 500 freeplay = $1270
got 570 (74%.. ouch) + 425 (85%)

so 1270+1030 = 2300 total comps
turned into 570+425+980 = 1975

85.9% overall.

in the $2300 worth of playing (92 hands), never got anything higher than 4 of a kind. and never 3 wilds.
only got 2 wilds a handful of times.

Depending on the paytable and strategy that you are using, the probability of any given hand being better than 4OaK hovers right around 1%, so that's not at all an unexpected result.

For example, for 98.94% Deuces, with Optimal Strategy, the probability of anything better than 4Oak is:

0.000022 + 0.000207 + 0.001734 + 0.003166 + 0.004203 = 0.009332

The probability of not having any such hand in 92 consecutive hands is:

(1-.009332)^92 = 0.42207381444 or 42.21%, so your results are not at all unusual, especially when you consider that the .009332 results encompass 0.169297 of the overall return for that paytable.

What paytable were you playing? You probably ran about as close to normal as can be imagined, if you want less Variance, then you should bet less per hand, or play JoB where a greater proportion of the return is in lower-paying results.

was playing dw 44.

they had $5 8/6 JoB (98.4%) single line.
they also had $5 triple line 8/6 JoB progressive.

the triple line progressive has only been there for a few weeks so the Royal was only like $20,500. (normal royal is $20k).

I estimated the increased variance w/triple play was the same as the variance of Dw. (wrong??)
thus I chose dw44 since it's about .5% better

interesting.,. some people at the casino have figured out a great way of getting at least 94% return guaranteed in 1 spin.

video roulette:
$470 on odd + even
$30 on 0 and 00.

$940 if odd/even.
$1050 if 0 or 00.

so which is better?
this or 98.9% deuces wild?

MD live.

I got 4 deuces last night on a multiline penny machine. I've never got four deuces in deuces wild at the quarter level. Sorta makes the game suck...lol

Are you sure video roulette there takes freeplay? Most machines won't.

its not e-roulette w/a real roulette wheel. they have a sign saying no freeplay.

but there's one where it's a video screen of a roulette wheel and a random # generator 'spins' the wheel.
i'm assuming this is what they're talking about.

If you are looking for little variance in redeeming your freeplay, I think 94.74% is a pretty good average return. Considering the amount of money in my bank account right now (not much), I definitely would be doing this. If you can really ride the variance, then I'd play VP.
