Then I received an identical offer, and I have accepted the two comp nights in April, as part of my accommodations for the WoV Spring Fling 2014.
Quote: DocI'm a low roller, so my offers aren't quite so good. In January, I received an offer for two complementary nights. I accepted and stayed there in February, but I upgraded to the suite that I described in the Cosmopolitan review I posted on this site.

Doc sold me on being a future customer there, so I'm staying elsewhere during WoV, but I'm going to go play there a few times and get on their radar. Looking forward to it. Nice offer.

I lost $100 in about 8 minutes of dollar DDB there. Grinded $89 of it back from the $100 loss promo. Not like I deserve anything, but if I knew a smallish amount of play would give me free nights there, I'd do it. Their VP is better than CET Vegas at least. My g/f never ever got an offer and she got a lot more points than I did because she struggled to lose that $100. I have a bad feeling they got her email wrong. :-\

Not really a high roller at Cosmo. Avg is About 375 a hand....
I did that at new york new york trying to kill time before a flight. Nothing like losing more than the plane flight is worth in an hour to leave a sour taste in your mouth.Quote: VenthusI got 2 nights and 50$ in promo chips after about 45 minutes of flat betting 25/hand. (They may have skewed me unusually favorably though, as I was down something like 600 after that 45 minutes...)
So this promotion works well for them.Quote: VenthusI got 2 nights and 50$ in promo chips after about 45 minutes of flat betting 25/hand. (They may have skewed me unusually favorably though, as I was down something like 600 after that 45 minutes...)
Mostly. Ate at the Spoon, which has gone downhill a lot from the last two times I went.
First of all, they probably seen your Miata and they thought you had mistaken the casino for the cosmopolitan magazine headquarters .Quote: djatcI actually got room offers when I didn't play at all at Cosmo (only the rebate), then after playing a bit they haven't sent me any offers lol.
If not, that's how it works. They want to get you in one time with a room and see if your valuable or not, once they realize you are a bailer and not a baller they kick you to the curb. Back to downtown for you buddy.

I misinterpreted your earlier comment in the Cosmopolitan Review thread. There you said, "Outstanding review. In fact, so good, I'm looking at staying there in April." In reading that, I skipped the "looking at" part.
Let's get together at the Cosmopolitan early in the Spring Fling week and lose some money at the craps table. (That last part is not really my plan, but it seems to be a common occurrence.) We should be able to find a $10 table, at least I did mid-week when I was there in February.
Edit: You do understand I'm a total newbie at craps, right? I would hate to embarrass you with total ploppy play, but I'm willing to try. I've played twice, lifetime. I do read the threads here and will be careful about dangling my hands and shouting "Yes! Seven!" and such, but no promises beyond that...lol.

It's really not that complicated if you stick to the basic bets. And if you have a friend there who knows the ins and outs, then you'll be set. Especially as an experienced gambler with other games, you'll be fine.
