Non U.S. citizens were allowed to apply for driver authorization cards.

Apparently thousands of illegals showed up at DMV, the day this took effect. I have a feeling this is all about money and not safety. I say live and let live, but this is BS.

I had to go to the DMV yesterday. Prior to going my GF and I were discussing how long it would take. she said, it would take hours and it would be filled with Mexicans. I replied, how many could their possibly be?.......they only have one car ;)

Was it the office on Sahara?

I thought only new residents and Mexicans went to the DMV's??

I had to register a new car. Not sure if that's something you can do Via the Internet. Even if this was possible, since I procrastinated until the very last of the dealers 30 days, I would have no plates on the car, until they sent them in the mail.

The DMV I went to is on Flamingo, where I always go, it seems nicer and faster then most and they have a snack bar. I didn't see anything unusual. Me and My GF had an over under bet on how long it would take. Technicality I won the over, only because I had to wait longer for a fax to the DMV. We were in and out in less than 1.5 hrs

I was in and out of the dmv one time in ten minutes to renew my license it would have been less had the guy not given me a hard time paying the $25 fee in two $20s. I don't know how I got so lucky because the line was out the door behind me... I was expecting more along your time frame

I will turn it political. Why not arrest them WHEN they show up and ship them back? We can't talk about 6.7 Unemployment when these people have jobs. And if they are doing the "Jobs Americans won't" maybe those Americans need to stop being eligible for Medicade, Food Stamps and UC. And yes you have to start arresting those who hire illegals and pay them cash. It really isn't that hard to solve problems once you stop feeling sorry for people and holding them accountable for their actions.

Because they will not then show up. You can't arrest people who don't show up to be arrested. If you allow people to get driver's licenses and automobile insurance then they may or may not become safer drivers but the situation can't get any worse.
