also, i hate it when dealers like try to tell you or ask you "are you sure" etc...when i don't double down (like i was dealt a 9, and dealer had a low card, and i said hit and he said u sure no double?? and i said just hit, and then my next card is a 2, then hit again and i got 21...dealer first card was a 6, and he turned over his other card and was a 3... if i doubled, he woulda won

I hate when dealers give unsolicited advice too, but in this case the advice was good (which is pretty surprising!)

In my opinion they should only ask you if your sure if you're about to make a blatantly bad play... I.e. Hitting a 16 vs a 4.

If the play you're making is one that could even remotely go either way, such as your double on 9 , they shouldn't question it.

i know i'm a "chicken player"...because obviously the wise thing to do when on a streak is to raise/increase your bet...but i just kept betting same amount or increased my bet only like $5-10 more...i shoulda probably raised it to $100 or more!!

Actually, in BJ, when you're not counting cards, winning a lot of hands early in the shoe or deck means there's a slightly greater chance you'll lose more hands later in the shoe or deck. The "correct" thing to do when you're on a BJ hot streak is to decrease your bets.

But really, since you're playing for fun, the correct thing to do is bet whatever amount will make it most fun for you.

Jennie only goes for guys who drive Volvo V60s.

Wiz better hope those lions line up quick.

I already told the Wizard he's getting a Miata if I win it. Also a matching her's set for the wife as well.

BTW juicy j (your username reminds me of that katy perry song with juicy j) you should learn a basic Ace to 5 count, so you can play with less house advantage. Think of it as getting paid to sit at a table in terms of comps.

As to the title of the thread.... I did send JJ a PM! And she responded quickly... I would like to thank JJ for adding spice to the sometimes mundane forum... And hope she comes in for the WoV 'convention' on April 26. I also sincerely hope the Wiz hires her to be a model whenever he needs one....
Once again... welcome! And keep posting!

I suppose this can be analogized to card counters - by law, they are NOT cheating, but in the eye of the beholder, the casino, they are…this is quite the opposite of the open marriage situation wherein the law says it is adultery(cheating) whereas the person being "cheated" on does not view it as such

Is the divorce rate higher with open marriages ? I have known a few couples and they wound up " falling in love" with one of their new partners. Just asking.

Juiciejennie has an edge on most Blackjack players on this forum. She might go BROKE, but she will never be FLAT BUSTED !

All Miatas are "her's". A normal-sized man can't even comfortably drive the thing without doing a foam-ectomy to the seats.

I think that's putting the cart ahead of the horse, a little. Learning to count before learning basic strategy probably does more harm than good.
