So I thought we might share our NYE plans here…I'll go first:

I passed up seeing Fleetwood Mac on 12/30 and attending the Aria NYE party as I chose to attend the ill-fated blackjack tournament there last week (thread here) and did not want to stay there two weeks or fly back out so, instead, I am attending the Revel AC NYE party (will likely head there on 12/30 with some family)

As usual, I intend to provide a trip report!

I am doing what I do every year, f*** all. Actually, I make my wife and I a nice dinner with some good cheese and crackers, and celebrate at midnight with champagne if she's still awake.

This year Demi Lovado's playing at the falls (free concert) so I will likely get suckered into ferrying her and a few of her friends somewhere!

The last two years I got last minute home-party dealing gigs so I will wait for the phone to ring for that. Otherwise maybe watch "Ocean's 11" (Sinatra) which is one of the few NYE theme movies I know and go to bet about 10.

I am attending the Revel AC NYE party.

My wife got invited to that but she predicts it to be lame so she's gonna play in a home game with her friends, same as last year. I'll be curious to see a report about the Revel party.

I'll be playing a home game with the other dealers of my poker league, same as last year.

A couple years ago, I went to ShowBoat and was playing poker at midnight. The games stopped for a minute or two at midnight so we all could have our champagne and make our phone calls, then it was back to business.

Posiedon Adventure was also NYE. The wave struck shortly after midnight. I saw it in the theater the first time. Everyone thought it was gonna strike while the MC of the party was doing the countdown.

Dinner out at Rustic Kitchen, at Mohegan Pocono. I hope to not play very much, it's been feast or famine lately and I don't feel like accepting the risk. Just a phase I'm going through, if we have a good week at work I'll play happily I'm sure.

Rustic Kitchen is pretty good, if you're up this way. Prices are reasonable and food quality is high.

In a small cabin on a small lake on small island just off a slightly bigger island which is off the west coast of Canada.

NYE in Vegas fills me with the FEAR.

Probably what I do every year...listen to the BBC World Service for Big Ben tolling in the new year (not as good as it used to be, since the microphones in the tower also pick up the fireworks explosions quite well), then watch the CNN coverage of Times Square (out west, it's the only live one, except I think for Fox News - at least it exists; prior to 2000, CNN would show it live about half of the time, and when it did, it was only the last 30 seconds or so). Not sure what I am doing yet at midnight local time, but I won't be going out.

Given your posting on Christmas Eve, and your stated plans for NYE, I don't think it's true to say that you "don't drink." Maybe "drink occasionally" or "drink sparingly?"

That's true, and some of the smart amateurs come and stay at my hotel where they have the opportunity to be a loud and obnoxious pain in my ass.

Which is where I will be for NYE and why I am not drinking.

NYE is strictly for suckers

Good night for an impromptu cab service, back when I was single, put my phone number in at all of the bars. I think I made about $1,150 that night. I got something of a cease-and-desist from a cop in WV, though. Apparently you need a special Class D license in that State to do that, oops. You can actually get paid to take people around in Ohio (as I understand it) provided the vehicle weighs less than 26K and you are transporting less than sixteen people, including the driver, no special license required.

I'm not sure of the insurance ramifications, this was when I was young, unmarried, and didn't mind hauling strangers around to make some money, I had just turned 23...

Haven't celebrated NYE since Y2K, and then only cuz it was college years and would party over any event.

This year, I'll certainly be watching the Winter Classic as I think thecesspit and I probably have an unspoken bet of pride brewing in the subconscious, and likely have our sarcastic memes at the ready ;)

I might go get annihilated with my hockey team as wifey wants to go, so I guess I'll either do that or stay home and work on my car.

At Midbight EST ( Baltimore Time )_ I will wish Jopsie a happy new year at 10 pm here in Grand junction.

Home today and Josie trying to stay awake till 10 PM.

So looks like I will definitely have a HAPPY NEW YEAR.

NYE is scanner night. Its snowing heavily and there
are accidents everywhere, 2 rollovers so far and lost
of cars off the road. Lots of domestic calls and it's
only 9:30. Drunks out of control, attempted suicide

Ace is disappointing me, I have to get my NYE schaden
