You are at lets say the Wynn playing craps. You throw them 4k. You get your chips and play for an hour or so on a Saturday nigh. The table is hot and the whole table starts to win. unfortunately you are on the dark side and lose a few in a row and decide to move on to greener pastures. (Another table) You stack your 2100 in red, green and blk chips high and slide them across the table to the money man and say "color me up".... Remember it is busy. He then takes your stack and to your amazement he mixes it with the house money!!! You yell!!! Hey that is my cash!!!!!! He says oh no! (To say the least) He is Upset but handles it and says, how much was there? You say, about 3600.00! He say ok and gives you the 3,600k and you walk away. Or, do you tell him the truth and say 2,100? or do you say 5k?

Karma is everything with the gambling gremlins. Tell the truth either way.
I would tell the truth.

If it's less than a thousand bucks they may not bother going to the eye. Who knows.

What I have learned,(sometimes the hard way) is that it is always the gambler's responsiblility to correct the dealers mistake. So in my early years, I remember giving the dealr in craps 26 to buy the 10...and heput it on the 4, and I dint catch it, and the very next number rolled was 10. Its my responsibility. I complained and the dealer didnt agree or remeber what I said so I lost tat win. Same with sports tickets. We need to check tix for mistakes which occur in my experience alot(especially when you are calling of 20 tix)
Sooo once I was at rouleete and had a stack of dollar chips on the double street of 31-36. It hit, and the dealer pulled back the stack to count it, and then replaced it on the single street....and payed me for that
Did I CORRECT THE GUY? nope because my rules are that the dealers have to check THEIR work...just like I have to check THEIR work. And if not the dealer..then its up to the pit boss.
I have paid for my mistakes of not monitoring the dealers close enough...so dealers/casinos can pay for their mistakes as well. I would jack up the value a little in this situation. Turnabout is fair play

JP is in FLA and has no way out. He claims to play at underground casinos.
If he pulls that crap at an underground casino, you will probbably find him under the tires of his own car.

Great post.
BD = Bob Dancer
But then again, I could be wrong, and look rather stupid for assuming that?
Why would you say 3600 in the first place? Are you intentionally trying to make a move? I probably would not do this, But I would not think any less of a regular guy for doing this. The real question is, would you blog about it?Quote: mdsWhat would you do? Has this ever happened to you?

Quote: AcesAndEightsI have to admit I don't know who JP or BD are in this context. Now Brian Boitano...now we're talking.
But he's not here right now. He'd teach the world a thing or two, He'd make a plan and he'd follow through, though.
Wow, I totally mis-remembered the lyrics. Fail.
Taxi had an episode almost as funny as who's on first. What does a yellow light mean ?

"Alex...under the circumstances, I think a better question would be why you didn't have one behind your ear?"
"Alex, I'll bet you $10 I walk over to that machine, put in a quarter, and get a vodka gimlet."
"Jim...that's a coffee machine."
"Then I want odds."
"Tony, what's your knockout record?"
"I was out for over four minutes once."
Possibly the greatest show in the history of television.
Only 25 people have been documented to posess this trait. One of whom is Mary Lou Henner.

Totally different circumstance, but on my first trip to Vegas they went to the eye over a $12 win at 6:1 that I initially attempted to grab between me and some Asians more drunk than me at sic bo. ~15 minutes later, I was awarded the money since it was my bet.
But considering this treatment, I would think they would def go to the eye over $500. Probably anything disputed over $100.

"Taxi" quotes. I wasn't even born before that show began to air and I still got it, and have only watched it sporadically, probably not an entire episode at one time. I have watched much more of "WKRP in Cincinnati", fwiw.
Unless youre are questioning that those quotes aren't funny. But they are pretty funny to me at least.
Quote: BuzzardSaw an episode of Taxi last night. On it Jim Ignatowski had started a fire that destroyed all the possessions in Louie's apartment. Jim calls his rich father and Dad sends him a blank check . Jim has to call his Dad after Louie fills in the amount to make sure his Dad puts in enough to cover it. Louie can replace everything for $8,000. Louie Stars at $50,000 and finally settles on $29, 602. Jim calls Dad and Dad says OK. Louie jumps for joy. Until Jim says His dad was relieved . He thought he might have to cover $200,000.

I don't get that show on directv and we've wished we did since it went off the air. Hard for me to understand why the people in charge put on the trash they do. I loved taxi. Christopher Lloyd was/is hilarious. Back to the future, director of Frazier etc. He's comedic genius.
Reverend Jim was probably my fave.

Yeah, um, that's a different Christopher Lloyd. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0515941/
Lloyd the actor never directed or produced anything.

Good catch there Bob. It just shows again that I can't assume anything, I always thought it was the same guy.
It's like Hollywood ran out of names or something.
