I know that we have at least 1 doctor and 1 lawyer here. A bunch of mathematicians and computer guys as well. Some professional gamblers too.

I have a relative who works in the N Dakota oil
fields. He says he does freeze his ass off, but
what they deposit in his bank account every 2
weeks warms his heart.
My nephew moved from a big city in Washington when he was 13 to North Dakota now he dose the same exact thing, he is 22 and makes 130k a year. One problem, ND kids have nothing to do, but drink like fish and get into a lot of trouble Him or his friends are always in jail for something dumb. I think he has totaled 4 cars already. They came to Vegas last NYE to party I kept up, but wished I didn't. They dropped 15k each in 3 days only 25% was from gambling.Quote: EvenBobI have a relative who works in the N Dakota oil

I deal with road warriors all day.
Oh and, I am probably not what you believe a Football player is, There's Balls involved, but what i do doesn't have to do with defense, kicking ,catching, throwing or possible scoring

I'll take the extended warranty, glass etching, Lojak, Scotch Guard, paint protection and rust proofing. Now you can take the rest of the week off. :-)

When I learned this job I was stunned. All I have to do is sit in a chair and say words, and every two weeks I get the money. It's the closest thing to "mattress tester" I could get.
Although I sometimes work as a target for EvenBob.
I remember when It was professional gambler. If you seen a smart player in the casino who you didn't know, we would just call him a PRO. If they played only match plays or bonus games, you would refer to them as hustler's. Casinos called professional VP or slot players: team players, whether you were alone or not. Team Player was a Bad word.Quote: KeyserSozeGambler (I prefer the title 'Gambler' instead of the common title 'Advantage Player')

I wonder who coined the term Advantage player. I guess Advantage player was used mainly for people who had both a different profession, but also took advantage of +EV situations.
Quote: mdsAuto Advocate.(Not a broker) I find, negotiate and have the automobile and paperwork delivered to clients business or home. Take away all the stress, time and effort for the client. I do this all over the Country. The more money I save the client the more money we make. For the client it is easy and painless for me not so much!
Interesting. I'd like to know more about this. You have a website?

I am sorry but pedaphile is not a profession.

Probably someone selling a gambling product. Sounds like something you put in your ad promos to sell your gimmick (er, product)
Also a part-time law student graduation in May 2015 if I don't hang myself first from stress.
I have a degree in Mechanical Engineering, though. I spent 5 years working in semiconductor manufacturing, then my most recent 12 years in the casino business.
against Treetop. No way he will be able to hide behind his constitutional rights next time.
Quote: mdsSure. 5 years ago after 17 years of working at a high volume highline dealership and 7000 clients later I opened this business. Best move I ever made. As a fleet Mgr./Corp sales Mgr. and having full autonomy I basically ran my own business within a business. Always, always making the process for the client easy and painless. All of that plus giving them the best deal in the country has allowed me to keep them coming back!
Someone has to recognize just how much better (organized, motivated, etc) than even a great car salesman you have to be in order to pull this off. I'm going to be that guy. Your clients and your income are your satisfaction, I know. Regardless, way to go, I tip my hat to you.
Quote: mdsWell thank you! That's very nice. I did my own paper for many many years and I know what you have to go through. I commend you! You say my satisfaction, Well, for me taking care of the clients and making them smile, happy, relieved and feeling really good in this stress filled world is what motivates me. Money comes and goes. Being able to pay the bills is really nice but keeping these relationships is what it's about. Taking care of, playing with and watching my 6 year old grow is what it is all about! I am blessed.
Give that kid a hug everyday. In the blink of an eye that 6 year old will be 16. BELIEVE ME !

I used the professional gambler button, but I too don't like that description and would never describe myself that way. I don't like advantage player all that much either. I don't like professional blackjack player either, because to me that implies a level of expertise that I have not yet acheived. . Maybe someday, but for now I like to say that I play blackjack for a living, with some supplemental AP play.

That's basically what I say. If you wanna dress it up so as to impress the ladies say venture capitalist. :)

Sometimes, when I am trying to be funny, I say "short-term invester", as in real short term, about as long as it takes to play the next hand. Lol
A couple years ago, went I went back to Florida, for my 10 year high school reunion, I had several such vague descriptions that I was using all designed to avoid any longer explanation. But by the time I got there, everyone seemed to already know a lot about me, too much about me and I spent half the night answering questions, feeling like I was on trial. The power of Facebook. I no longer participate on Facebook. Lol
