Just back from a few nights here after a Palm Springs trip and I have to say WOW. I will send Mission and Wizard a review if they want to post it, but I have to say they did a great job with this place and the employees are super. It was slow so they need some love and I question the long term financials, but at this point the service and room quality are better than most of the CZR properties on this strip. And CZR should send their employees downtown to the Grand for Customer Service training. Oh and Pizza Rock was great as well and I sell Pizza for a living. Good things happening just off Fremont.

That's one of the main things I am excited about when I come down there is Pizza Rock.

Which pizza did you try?

Also glad to hear you had a good trip, hope you do decide to do a write up.

Go ahead and write it up and post it as a trip log. If it's good, Mike will convert it to a permanent review.

I'm fairly sure that's what I did when I wrote the review of the IP.

I'd be happy to accept a review of the place. I might even pay a little something for it, depending on length and quality.

They had really good paytables like NSUD for one day then they pulled it.

Actually i should pay you for that review since it was super short. Where can I send payment?

I too really like the look and feel of the casino inside and out. I think they did a great job. However, I don't go to a casino, because of the look or feel. Playable blackjack is my number one issue. I was really hoping, the grand would have some playable blackjack, so I could add too my downtown rotation of 3 playable games. Unfortunately, in my first two visits, I didn't find anything special. 6 deck games, with penetration about 70%, which is just below my minimum requirement or 75%. Doesn't sound like much difference, but it is.

Anyway, I am kind of hoping things loosen up, blackjack wise, but I have recently learned the paranoid guy from TI is running the show at the Downtown Grand, so I am not optimistic, but I will keep an eye on BJ conditions there just in case.
