I have arrived and played half a shoe to warm up
Shoe started badly losing 5 hands in a row then dealt a blackjack...I pressed up the blackjack and got anothet blackjack...however, I then lost 5 hands in a row (including two double downs I had no chance on...
First double was 5,4 v dealer 6...dealer flips over a 5 thrn a King for 21 (the dealer had dealt my double down face down but there was no escape at that point -- of course, I was dealt an Ace on the 5,4 ughhhh)
Second double had 5,5 v dealer 6...dealt a 6...dealer flips over an Ace for 17...
However, I hit a nice little run and was able to climb back

I'll be down there at Harrah's in 5 or 6 hours. After this weekend, then it's off to The Quad in 'Vegas.

I am getting lit up today, to the tune of $6,400 thus far. -$22,000 for the month of November with one Saturday to go (albeit I've only played a few sessions).
WoV members, if you are thinking of being an AP, even part time, you know. Don't do it. Especially if the player edge is razor thin.
You will likely not be able to stomach the negative variance.
(I play the game by Masque Publishing, by the way)

So I ended up playing at a few different tables...
Interesting scenes from the night:
Young guy standing on an Ace, 5 versus a dealer 6
Same young guy doubling a 5,3 versus dealer 10
Another guy down 10k and making a huge comeback betting between 500 and 1000 per hand until his girlfriend comes and begins berating him with the typical female BD of "Don't you know what I could do with that money?!?" (Why is her boyfriend's money hers to do anything with?)
Throughout the evening I picked up a few chips here and there...
Trip is +900

Just played a session and the Saturday swoon appeared...
I could not catch any run and proceeded to lose the first 5 hands...
I then pushed 3 in a row
Then lost 4 more
There went the 900 I was up
For some reason I proceeded to keep playing...which ended up working out to my benefit
After about a shoe and a half, with some key doubles and blackjacks, I was able to get back to +800
Then, on the last hand of the shoe I was a dealt a blackjack and took a lunch break
Trip is +950

Sat down for another session and proceeded to get demolished...losing the 950 I was up by losing 5 doubles in the shoe in unceremonius fashion...
But, with a dealer change came a change in variance as, within half a shoe the SC was good and I proceeded to get it all back plus 50
Trip is +1k

Played a 3 hand micro-session as I was interrupted by a phone call I had to take and didn't want to hold the table up
won 2 hands and pushed the other

Enjoying the show. Was just practicing. Split 4's to 4 hands v 5 and doubled on 3. Won them all when dealer busts.
