Not a game you can not cheat in, and if you are slick, not stupid, get away with it. Cards, pool, bowling, baseball, whatever !

And of course if my casino was cheated, I would want the world to know it.

There are some remarks in this thread that Archie was caught cheating at Poker. He was actually caught cheating at blackjack.

I have read some books about Archie which loosely detailed his "streak". He certainly didn't win his money initially from playing craps. He started winning by playing games of skill. He hustled some big guns at the pool tables, he then took down some big poker players. He bet some money on the baccarat tables (I guess he may have been cheating here, I don't have enough information).
When he was well into his streak everyone knows his game of choice was craps. He won large amounts in the beginning and, I have to think, due to the large amounts of money in play he always had at least 2 Surveillance agents on the cameras watching his every move. He also had the most experienced dealers on the game as well as a box person and floor person watching him. If he cheated he not only found an undetectable way of doing so, he mastered the craft to such an extent that nobody would ever know or find out. I find my last statement VERY hard to believe.

The simple fact of the matter is (and again, this is pure conjecture), Archie is a degenerate gambler. He remembers the highs of winning $40 million and wants those heady days back. Now that he realizes what he had done was a combination of great skills, some serious hustling and the most confounded streak of dumb luck you will ever find on this rock, he will do anything he can to attain those heights again.

The only problem is, now the only way he can do so is by cheating. He has known this for quite a while now as he has been caught several times for the same or similar offenses.

I find myself feeling just a little sorry for him as he is now a bi-product of that unbelievable streak of luck...........

The $40,000,000 run was not Archie's first winning streak. The story has been told time and time again how Archie beat Sarge Ferris out of $1,000,000 when he (Archie) had just $20 in his pocket. Archie was an accomplished pool player/hustler. If you read the wiki on Sarge it says he was a professional poker player, but everyone in gambling back then knew that Sarge was a wealthy bookie.

Somehow Archie talked Sarge into playing 9-ball for $100 a rack. They went over to the Cue Club in the Commercial Center on Sahara. Archie beat Sarge out of several thousand dollars. Sarge, who had a couple of his goons with him, demanded that Archie show him how much money he had in his pocket before he payed him off. Archie pulled a $20 bill out of his pocket. Sarge was a class guy (most of the time) and payed Archie anyway. And he kept playing Archie. He played him until he had lost over $1,000,000.

Archie won at Binion's using a spin shot. He lost much of it back, after the casino placed a rubber pad under the gaming felt. He did not lose all of the money that he had won. He held onto some of it.

Jackie Newton was the won that consulted with Binion, and he's the one that recommended that the rubber pad be installed.
The information can be found in Jackie's book. At the end of that chapter, he says something like, "Sorry Archie, but no hard feelings. It was just business." -Jackie.
