Bad AP,Bad Floor Lady

The other night me and my Girlfriend went to play a promotion. When we arrived all the good machines were taken because of a drawing that was about to start. So we waited, After 15 min one crappy, but playable machine opened. Another 15 min went by when a older AP couple cashed out of their two machines and left. My GF cashed out of her machine while I held the now two vacant machines.
We started playing, approximately ten min later, a floor lady (possibly supervisor) came running over and told my GF she had to cash out so she could shut the machine down. puzzled but thinking possibly they were changing the machines, I asked, "why?" she explained the person (he was an AP) that was playing the machine before wanted to shut it down, but instead he let the older couple play it, so he was entitled to it back(BULLSHIT).
I explained we gave up a different machine so we could play together and that machine was now taken. I said this was inappropriate because we had been playing for ten minutes already, and were losing so far.
The floor lady still insisted that my girlfriend get off the machine (I have a feeling tipping was involved before all this). I thought for a minute, is this worth the fight.......At this point the original guy showed up. Me not wanting to cause a big stink and bring over management, angrily I just said, " fine". and so my GF cashed out.
It's not like it was the play of the century, something would probably open up soon. I though to myself , why call attention to everything. As it turned out he the player said, "never mind" and jumped on a different machine.
If this was not an advantage play, Gaming control would have been called.
Even through we did nothing wrong, we said fine and complied, that floor lady seemed agitated with us the rest of the night
I can't believe this floor lady really thought this was in anyway okay, seriously bad decision on her part. She should have just told the other guy she was sorry.
I can't believe the AP would bring attention to the play by creating this situation. I hope he reads this and next time If you pass off a machine, be back in time to get it or just lock it up.
