Oh yeah, I forgot about that thread. I was actually referring to the poll that originally gave "I'm a bigot" as an option (re: the "Good News!" thread), but the thread you're referring to works also. (haha)

I'm a bigot....when it comes to stereotyping whiners. Don't want them at my table. No hand will ever make them happy. Don't want to listen to UTH player who wins on a flush when everybody else gets beat whine about it being "one away" (this can be noted without whining). Just as an example. So that makes me a bigot. In the Webster's-type literal meaning, anyway.

I respect the Wizard's request, but without some enforcement, these threads will continue to be here because there is an audience here for them.
DT is where threads go to die so far...who knows what would happen if these threads were automatically banished to that board...would any more traffic go there or would there just be less of this type of threads?

You're missing the entire point. If all off-topic posts should be sent to DT, that's fine, but one member's posts should not be singled out when a ton of other members do the exact same thing.

You're right. While I can't speak for you, I sense that you started this thread for a few chuckles on a slow Saturday and I see nothing wrong with it. We could all use more chuckles.
In stark contrast, I believe that the Good News thread and the Happy Independence Day thread were started to be disruptive and as a slap in the face to the Wizard and to the rest of us. Forum Rule 13 is in place to protect us from these disruptions.

The "Good News" thread was an open attempt to be disruptive, in my opinion. The "Happy Independence Day" thread started out okay but the OP quickly took it to the agenda that person supports. Some like to live on the edge of the rules...
