I know that many people here like to gamble at various places in Vegas, but what would you say are the Top 3 places that you usually find yourself playing at? If your list changes from time to time, what is your current Top 3?

I don't go to Vegas enough to have 3 favorite casinos to play in, but I will say, when I was there on my last trip, I played at Mandalay Bay. I really enjoy how spread out the tables are and whatever that scent they use to mask the cigarette smoke is quite effective and pleasant smelling.

Silverton
Cosmo
Wynn

The above are my favorites, but I go to almost every casino.

Mandalay Bay is a great location, though.

I did most of my Vegas gambling at one casino, so I'll have to plead the 5th. ;+)

#1) casino X- this casino has the best hole carding opportunities I have ever seen.

#2) casino Y- more hole carding, just not as lucrative as casino X.

#3) casino Z- I can count and spread as I wish. Floor is incompetent.

Sorry I cannot reveal any of the actual names.

Wow, all three people so far have mentioned Mandalay Bay. I've only gambled there a handful of times and didn't think much of it, but I may have to give it another chance now. Thanks for the lead, guys.

Players often value different things. Quite some time ago, Mandalay Bay hosted a "hooker sweep". Hookers not actually swept up in the arrests got the word through the grapevine: Go elsewhere for awhile. Rooms are cheap right now and part of that is there is/will be/might be some construction noise as major room refurbishment gets underway.

Mandalay Bay still has beautiful women, lots of table games, wide aisles, nice dealers, nice drinks and a loyal following.

Alot of people do Casino Hopping for some of their visit. Sometimes social obligations impose a necessity to visit different casinos, sometimes its mere curiosity, but its often a way of simply staying in touch with the ever changing ways in which casinos try to differentiate themselves in the marketplace.

Also (I already voted Mandalay Bay earlier) at Mandalay Bay. I have to say that when I was gambling there with my wife, she was apprehensive about playing a table game for the first time (she does the slots, and I try to tell her about the math but it does fall on deaf ears) and I took her to a blackjack table after breakfast one morning. The dealer, I forget her name, was informed by us that it was my wife's first time playing blackjack, and was very patient and courteous about her slower play while she got the hang of the game. This was also at a mere $10 table. I usually try to tip the dealer by placing a bet here and there for them, but due to her professionalism, not to mention putting up the no smoking sign at the table for my wife, I gave her a green chip when I left the table.

This is going to sound pathetic, but whatever.

1) The Quad - They used to host the 3/6 "Mix Game from Hell" and they also have the best paying nickel video poker in the CET Vegas empire (7/5 Bonus w/STP for a laughable 98.29%).

2) Flamingo - I like the general vibe of the place and it's location, and one of their machines was nice enough to give me a dealt Royal!

3) Paris - Close by if we are staying at Bally's, nice atmosphere, and will comp Sierra Nevada at the bar.

Generally though, I'm in 10 different casinos per trip.

2) C Palace

3) G Nugget

1. ---- El Cortez. Good mix of great blackjack (1 deck 3:2) and craps (10x) rules. They hate me though.
1.5.-- Casino Royale. You can't beat 100x odds if you are looking to gamble a bunch. 20x odds on $3 bets is nice too. The dealers seemed to be washed up old drunks with bad attitudes, which I like.
2. ---- Wynn/Encore. It gets expensive, but you gamble here to mingle with the customers. A fairly impressive crowd, and I've actually received a job offer while gambling here.

I am mostly about the act of gambling itself.

1. Casino Royale - the low craps limits combined with high odds pulls me in. $3 min bets is great. Someone said the dealers seem like old drunks and that sounds pretty accurate haha. However I tip probably better than most and they seem to provide the best service and seem most appreciative of all strip properties. Just my experience though. The low craps limit does draw some real idiots though.

2. Mirage - its my favorite sports book in Vegas. Location is nice too. The sportsbook, bar, bj, poker, and craps are all really close to the strip entrance which is very convenient. Don't have to walk all the way through the casino to try and find these different areas. Also had by far my best craps roll there

3. Flamingo - I just like the way it smells haha

1. The Orleans - normally my home casino when I visit. Like the VP, like the Craps table. Is nothing special, but can get gambling done at the right limits, with the right atomosphere.

2. The M - Such a nice, relaxing place. Good crew, good service.

3. The Main Street Station - good micro-brews, nice varied clientele, nice surroundings.

There's many places I prefer to drink, watch sports or eat at.

4 Queens - Great Video Poker. I'm a low roller and they comp my rooms.
Sams Town. Full pay deuces wild video poker and a free shuttle from downtown.
Bills Gambling hall- I know its closed but I played more live cash game poker there then any place else due to the cheapest game around 1 buck big blind, 50 cent small blind.

With Bills closed, Is the cheapest poker cash game 1-2?

1 - Bellagio: Like to play tiles there and it seems I'm usually the only person at times. I know I'll never get comps there, but love it.
2 - MSS: Good VP, good microbrews.
3 - Bally's - low key, connected to Paris, decent BP for the strip at the qtr level.

Outside of Vegas (Since other's have listed)

1- Borgata: Good taste of Vegas when I'm not there - again, tiles is reasonable and available.
2 - Dover Downs: Good BJ rules and limits, not too far from the No. Va area
3 - Showboat: Good location on the boardwalk, so-so rooms, but one of the few remaining CET bastions of limited 9/6 JoB.

I hit 30+ casinos each month, have a slightly smaller rotation of 20-24 that I play BJ regularly and receive mail offers from 15-18 each month, so I really spread myself around. My rotations are not set by which locations I enjoy, but rather which locations I can make money at. I tend to hit my best games a little more and like a few other members here I am not going to reveal those.

But I will say, I always liked the M resort. Used to have really good BJ games so I played there often. But besides playing conditions, it had a nice feel to it. Clean and bright and lots of room. But then they became too sweaty...I call them the El Cortez of Henderson, so after a number of backoffs I visit a little less, which will please them. lol In addition to backoffs at the tables, I have been approached and backed off while eating there twice, once at the sports sandwich place over by the sportsbook and once at the buffet, which sadly, has also declined in the last couple years. I was also at a sport event that I was invited to at the M and approached and reminded 'No blackjack'. So their unprofessional, unfriendly attitude has lowered them in my book. But at least they are better than the place where two suits backed me off while I was using the men's room earlier this year. That is just completely classless, which I told them in no uncertain terms. lol

There is a place that I visit often that has little to do with my professional play, Jerry's Nugget. Run-down, small local's place in not the greatest part of town. Has that old-time type casino too it. I like to watch the older, regulars feeding nickels into the older machines that still drop coins. They are in a trance with their greyish fingers constantly moving. lol I also like the bakery as well as the coffee shop, which has that old time diner feel to it for me. The waitresses know most of the patrons by name. Since I do volunteer work one day a week at a shelter near by, I visit Jerry's just about once a week for lunch. It always brings a smile to my face.

#1 Paris - Like the size, atmosphere, decor and most of the dealers. I am a sucker for their ceilling. Consistent cocktail service.

#2 Venetian - Classy yet cozy, nice cocktail service.

#3 Hollywood Casino at Penn National - Good service, wide variety of games and fair rules.
No bounce, no play.

Last trip, and this is probably typical, would be:

1) Palms

Love the 100 % DW, the vibe, pretty cocktail waitresses.

2) Ellis Island.

I like the VP and as far as I know is the closest walking
. distance from the central Strip for decent VP.

3) I guess I gotta give a mention to the MGM for the
. Derby Downs horseracing game, but I don't play
. much there otherwise.
