Promos: Bird in hand or 2 in the bush?

Casino is 1hr away.
got a promo for an extra $10 for fri/sat on top of my normal $20/week (mon-sun).
but they are also having a promo on Sun where i can win anywhere from 'Buy 1 get 1 free drinks' to $10 - $10k cash. (The state doesnt allow free alcoholic drinks, and they charge $4 for draft beer and like $6 for mixed drinks.)
i dont drink while i gamble.
its not worth my time to go back a 2nd time in a week.
I'm leaning on just taking the xtra $10 promo.
What do u think? WHY?
