Hi all..

Brain teaser for today...

If I have a deck of cards ... 52 + 1 joker... I shuffle them thoroughly ... what are the odds on dealing the joker as the very first card 8 times in a row..?
( the cards are re shuffled thoroughly before each deal ..)

1 in (1/53)^8 is actually incorrect.

(1/53)^8 is the probability of doing it. The reciprocal is in how many times you can expect 1 to happen.

Various answers, all meaning the same thing:

1 time in 62259690411361 tries

622596904113610 to 1 odds

1.606×10^-12 percent

1.606×10^-14 probability
