I'll be in Vegas with 3 other people and I already did the promo (lost $14), but I'd like to try to convince them to do it. So, a few noob questions:

Any idea what the EV is if we do like $10 or $25 JoB? What other strategy would you recommend? Three $100 slot pulls?

I used the rebate on the poor 8/5 machines downstairs, figuring that the $1 minimum would result in a reduction in variance that exceeded the loss in return and make it wiser than 20 pulls at $5 minimum the full pay machines upstairs because I am relatively risk averse. Was this correct?

If you're going to play JoB, it's best to play it for $25/hand minimum since that's the cheapest full-pay is available. But I wouldn't play a machine like that to recoup my loss, unless you really want to gamble. To have the biggest chance to recoup more of the rebate, you're better off playing 7/5 Bonus Poker (98.01%) for 5 quarters a hand (a single line of a 50-line game). The strategies between the two games are nearly identical. Another option between these two is to short play the $5 machine for 1 credit a hand; this returns 98.37% with perfect play.

I played my first $100 on the $5 Double Double Bonus poker and lost. I then used my free play on the 7/5 Bonus quarters to recoup my losses. I believe I ended up down about $20.
At my age, a "Life In Prison" sentence is not much of a deterrent.

I just used these rebate.

Some tips:

-Shoot for the moon with the $100 cash. I played JoB $25.
- Go low volatility on the free play to recoup money.
- Requires net $100 loss on the day. Thus, if you hit something medium-like a full house for me--- then you will have to lose all 9 of those coins back to count as a 'loss' for the day.
- My strategy: show up at 1130pm. Try to lose the $100. If you get up at all just cash out and be up for the day. Then after midnight do it again and try to lose the hundred. Essentially you get two shots at this if you win some on the first day. You can keep doing this daily until you lose. Confirm the midnight thing with the club, but it worked for me and I ended up about $400 on the whole experience.

Outcome? How did you grind it back?

i think we played 25c denomination 7/5 BP on some multihand machine. i think it was a 10-play machine around the corner from the high-limit room.

Is that the kind of thing where each person bets the same amount on 1/3 of the roulette wheel and you split the refunded money plus the wins three ways?

Cosmo has a $100 roulette wheel in the high limit room with a single zero.

no, it's slots or VP only and the free play can't be used on the video roulette.
