Treasure Island's poker room has free wifi. At least it did in its old location it moved from a few weeks ago. It is probably safe to assume it moved with it.

This is my biggest gripe about Vegas, lack of free wi-fi. Its rediculous. Whole world is moving toward free wi-fi except Vegas. Virtually every decent hotel in the USA offers free wifi, except Vegas hotels. What is it with vegas and free wifi. I stayed at Imperial Palace last year. Had to pay extra for wifi. Heres the kicker, speed was slow but they had a more expensive rate for high speed. ugh. The airport gets it, free wi-fi all over the airport and fast. I live in florida and sometimes tow a camper and stay at campgrounds, even they have free wifi. I go on a road trip, stop at a mcdonalds for lunch, free wifi. I heard theres a Mcdonalds or 2 in strip or dwtwn casinos that dont offer free wifi due to hotel they are in is selling it. ugh.
By the way, staying downtown in 3 weeks, any free wifi? I heard Main St Station might have. Do I need password or open connection?

MSS has (had?) free wifi in the player's club area across from the front desk. It's an open connection.

That's not really true. I find that, outside of Vegas, cheaper hotels tend to offer it for free, while more expensive places tend to charge you for it. Stay at a $200/night hotel in San Francisco and you will pay extra for wi-fi. Stay at a motel 6 and it will be included. Go figure.

At most places in Vegas, it's included as part of the resort fee. In-room only, though, not on the casino floor. Before the days of resort fees, it used to be a $15 charge. I always get comped my room (including resort fee) so it works for me :)

A lot of restaurants and bars inside the casinos have free wifi. A comprehensive list would be pretty difficult.

Pretty funny, $200/nite hotel in San Fran offering comfortable luxuary and charging extra for wifi, on the flip side Campground , all they giver you is a cold water faucet and a electric plug and a peice of ground for cheap and they throw in free wifi.

Starbucks generally do offer it, but not the one on the second floor of Harrahs, because Harrahs wants you to pay $12/day. The Flamingo poker room has it, but it's prolly an accident made by a hot spot on the brush's cellphone. Sometime on, sometime not. The Apple Store in Fashion Show Mall offers it, and the McDonalds between Harrahs and Casino Royale, the Krispy Kreme on second floor at Excalibur, Betty's Diner at the IP. In fact, here's a whole big list of user supplied hotspots for ya.
