I am offering a $2,000 finders fee to anyone that can get me a poker dealing job in a busy poker room. I am ready to relocate almost anywhere in the US. I have a year and a half of poker dealing experience. I have dealt and supervised all other casino games for over 12 years. Look up my Linkedin profile at

If you can offer any help, contact me at sparra313@gmail.com.......It's ok if you wish to remain anonymous.

Also, if you can possibly get my wife a job dealing in the same poker room the finders fee to you will be $5,000. She has the same experience as me (she's a little better)....But she is having our child and wont be ready to work until February.

I can't get you a job, but it seems to me a totally relocatable dealer would look to the area of growth, and that would be in the East. These places all have poker rooms it seems without question, and the norm seems to be to pay decent and have benefits.

Congratulations on the upcoming new citizen.

I'm one of the resident skeptics here, Sal. May I call you Sal? "Trust but verify" as Ronald Reagan used to say. Having gotten that out of the way I'm going to assume that this post is legitimate and that this is not someone having fun at the expense of the real Sal.

Is this your only method of seeking employment or is this a last resort? You are all over the internet and you seem to have more than enough experience to land a job in the casino industry. Why limit yourself to poker and why pull up roots now? Aren't you currently employed? That finders fee could be used for trips to the major markets for a first hand look at what's available. Boots on the ground, Sal, boots on the ground.

If you are serious there are people on this forum who can provide you with invaluable insight and they may not all expect to be compensated. We will soon know if you are serious or if you are just another one time poster who slips away into the night. Either way... buena suerta!

If you want a growth market in the East, I think Pennsylvania and Florida are booming. Florida mainly due to enhanced betting levels and linking of poker and racinos.

I suggest you look for well managed poker rooms. So avoid places like New Mexico wherein everything is manana with casino management. You deal poker in New Mexico and you will have to write a memo before you yawn.

In Vegas, yes fire a gun into a crowd and you are likely to hit a poker dealer ... but try the Venetian and the M Resort for well managed poker rooms. If you get lucky and get an audition remember, they don't want automatons. They do not hire robots as dealers so if you can't interact with the players don't bother them.

I can never keep things straight between Silverton and SouthPoint so try both.

Biloxi was auditioning poker dealers every Friday at 8:30am for a while way back when, but I've no idea whats happening there now.

Lots of work here in PA, my suggestion would be to decide what city you would rather live in then contact the various places. At Rivers opening some guy came cross-country to be in the dealer school!

Take a trip to Denver, drive up to Blackhawk and talk to a manager in the poker rooms at Ameristar and the Lodge.

Tips are good and great dealers are few are far between. Good place to raise kids also. GOOD LUCK !

I'm sure background checks and possibly licenses are required. Are BC's from one state, honored in others?

I have a PhD in chemical engineering doing research in computational material science. But my recent work history is basically nonexistent. I'm actually volunteering for someone right now just so I can have something on my resume to say 2012 on it and to learn how to use the molecular dynamics simulator, LAMMPS. :-\

Obviously, I'm interested in gaming math as well, but I have no official experience in it. I've deconstructed some slot machines to determine returns from the IGT PC games for "fun". :)
