Here are a couple of little things that I was pleasantly surprised to see
on this trip:

- Less Porn Slappers

- McDonald's Strip locations have normal pricing for most of the menu,
ie, it isn't wildly inflated like airport locations, etc.

- Good drink service at Imperial Palace. I wasn't expecting much from
the room, so they lived up to my expectations. It was the best price
I could find for a Friday night.

Anyone have anything else to add to the list ?

The availability of reasonably priced underwear on Fremont Sreet. I think we found them at a Walgreens there. Just about anything you need on a trip can be found at a fair price downtown, IMO.

Lol I usually just pack underwear so I don't have to buy it on the strip haha. I'm jesting of course but I really hope there is a funny back story to having to buy underwear on the strip.

The funny back story begins and ends like this...

Be careful taking your elderly in-laws with you to Vegas... ;-)

"Nana, try the new zipline over Fremont Street! It's the shit!
"Just did, son. And you're right."
"Poker sure is an easy game to beat if you have the roll to keep rebuying."

With this soiled underwear talk, you've inspired me in a bad way. I apologize in advance.

The elderly, though, can perhaps relate.

Here I sit, broken hearted
Came to shit and only farted.
Back at my desk I take a chance,
Tried to fart, but shit my pants.

I remember the first part of line 2 to be "Spent a dime..."

I don't remember lines 3 or 4 at all. Thanks for that!

yours was a cleaner version [g].

Your welcome. And damn it, condition 1 is disappointing and condition 2... well, probably we all have experienced it.

And at the risk of going back on-topic, almost
forgot this one.

4) Red Box DVD Machine at the Walgreen's next to
Planet Hollywood.

Rented the latest Sherlock Holmes on the Strip,
watched it on the flight back, and returned it
to another Red Box in small town USA.

It made the flight go a lot faster, I just need to
find some comfortable earbuds / headphones.

Less PORN SLAPPERS?

They need to rid the sidewalks of these guys....I mean pass some bylaw to get them off the sidewalks.... maybe bring in HOMELAND SECURITY to do a sweep or something. Fine them nightly for littering I mean how much more evidence do you need hundreds of those cards on the ground and them holding on to a hundred in their hands. Charge them with loitering...do something

We had a couple of tour guides at Hoover Dam that were that were great .... they knew their stuff and made our tour very interesting.
