A buddy of mine found an online sports book that was taking $10k max on Olympic sports, he scratched the money up and put the money on Canada in mens and women's ice hockey against the "jobber" teams where Canada to win was 10-1 or higher.
He crowed about his "easy" $1,400 profit after three of four "Canada vs Jobber" games, and when Switzerland tied Canada 1-1 in the 4th, well.. there was lots of drinking that night :P

When did Nevada casinos stop taking bets on Olympic sports? (I remember casinos taking bets in 1984; IIRC, one bet was an over/under on the winning time in the men's 100m final being 10 seconds.)

I think the Olympics are far too corrupt to seriously know if you are making a good bet or not.
