Great: Red Rock, Green Valley Ranch
Good: Texas Station, Santa Fe Station, Sunset Station
Okay: Boulder Station, Palace Station
I still have never been to the Aliante Station.

Thanks for the review Teddy. I have to agree with the Wizard that you are a bit hard on the place, but it is somewhat unremarkable there. It's a casino with no bells or whistles, when its size and name suggest that there should be. However, the review was thorough and well-constructed, and for that, you did a good job.
As far as the Wizard's ranking of Station Casinos, I would place Texas Station at the bottom of the Goods, and add Aliante Station at the top of the Goods, and possibly into the Greats. It's a REALLY nice place, and though I didn't stay there, it was a beautiful casino with a nicer layout, IMO than Red Rock or GVR.
Its an area of smaller older homes and probably has a great many retirees there for whom Texas Station is their "local".
The epitome of Plain Vanilla is still Plain Vanilla. The blackjack edge is pleasing to hear about but hardly worth a trek to get there. The room charges are in line with other offerings in better locations with more variety. If I get so drunk at Terribles to head all the way up to Texas Station I'm probably drunk enough to wind up at that 6:5 table and not even realize it.
So I guess the first requirement is waking up and finding yourself in North Las Vegas. If that happens to you... head to Texas Station.

I am a little more blunt and just tell people how stupid they are for playing 6:5.
As for the drunk, I would've booted him for the night, not forever.
Just for clarification, do you go to all roulette tables and tell those players how stupid they are? Or all slot players?
I look at it a different way.... If they didn't exist there would be no 'good' games in any casino.
You should thank every roulette player, every slot player, etc.....
Antiseptic is a word I would use. Characterless is another.Quote: WizardI still have never been to the Aliante Station.

What about Main Street Station?

It's a Boyd property, not part of Stations.
Thanks, Nareed, for keeping me in line. You are correct. I don't think I will ask the Wizard to change that, though.Quote: NareedUh, Teddys, ruminants don't take well to meat...
The Santa Fe Station review is coming soon. Much better, in my opinion.

I wouldn't tell an author what to change. I don't look like an editor, do I? :)

I always like your reviews.
Casino hotels are cheaper than regular hotels! If there's one thing I hope people get out of my reviews, it's that fact. Never stay at the Comfort Inn Las Vegas :)Quote: TIMSPEED(We were poor and stayed at NON-casino hotels, hahaha)

hahah...Motel 6 was cheaper at the time, lol.
Is that because it's to far away?Quote: Wizard
