When it comes to entertainment destinations, no one does it better than Caesars hotels and resorts. Whether you’re looking for dining, nightlife, relaxation, or some of the best casino gaming out there, Caesars has you covered.
I beg to differ. A 6-5 JoB paytable on a $ 5 denomination machine has to be some of the WORST casino gaming out there.
Quote: JohnnyQI am sure people on this forum know that this is a horrible, "predatory" paytable. But I doubt the average tourist will know that. What does it say about CAESARS unlimited greed that they would even have this on the floor ?

It'll be among the worst, that's for sure. Just grab a seat, buckle up and enjoy the race to the bottom. They put three zeroes on Roulette wheels now. Maybe they'll start having 6:5 with the fixed 500-FOR-1 Royal, and people will think it's a bargain because they only have to bet one credit.
(I have played 500-FOR-1 fixed games before, but that's because they were 9-6, which is 98.88%...best game on the floor for that bet level at this particular casino.)
At Circa high limit you may get a neck massage while playing. (The Bacchanal Buffet at Caesar's had something like that, from what I have been told.) I jump up out of my seat on winning hands too much to remain in my seat long enough to get a massage though.
Quote: JohnnyQWoO says that 6/5 JoB is 95.0 % return with optimal play. So, still better than most Slot Machines, right ? But horrible horrible horrible for VIDEO POKER.
Yes, much better than their video slots which run from 85%-88%.

I doubt anyone who plays games like this would ever know perfect strategy. If I ever had a reason to play it, I would just guess my best, rather than spend the time to squeeze out the extra value. With some plays I've seen (hold a pair and a high card?), the overall return might start to approach slots.
Maybe, but I guess we can all agree that they ARE NOT referring to the PAYTABLE for that game.Quote: rsactuaryNote they don't say "best paying" casino gaming. They could be referring to the atmosphere in the casino.
They do have 9/5 in the High Limit room at the $ 1 denom. I think that is fair for the STRIP.

Any other suggestions ? ? ? I am sure they would appreciate our input.

Better than $5 denomination slot machines, especially AFTER factoring in mistakes? It's probably a horse apiece.
Quote: WizardI echo the previous comments that 6-5 Jacks at the $5 denom is truly shameful. Not that it is a good excuse, but I think this is either a mistake or the slot director doesn't know what he's doing.
I think he knows exactly what he is doing.

I suspect they still have better pay tables at lower denoms and this machine was an aberration.
Yes, they have $ 1 9/5 JoB on Spin Poker.Quote: WizardI suspect they still have better pay tables at lower denoms and this machine was an aberration.
But my point is that many touristas probably don't know better and they are being taken advantage of. Anyone on this site knows better.

Exactly what I was thinking. Sprinkle them in here and there and catch the unwary.

I remember very clearly being at Ballys LV when I was 22 or 23 or so. I knew I liked deuces wild and had some idea of what a decent pay table would look like so I was probably ahead of most casual LV VP players. Then I got to the machines and kept thinking, “If I bet 2 coins, then I’m way over what a good machine would pay. But that can’t be right.” For some reason I couldn’t figure out how to reconcile the two. I was so confused. I ended up assuming I was missing something and didn’t play.
Put another way, even if someone knew 9/6 was good for JOB, they might look at the 2 coin payout for 6/5 and think “oh, 12/10 is much better than 9/6.” It’s very wrong but I can see why someone might be confused because that confused me too at one time (assuming they cared to look at all, which I assume most LV gamblers don’t care or know what to look for).
I’ve also seen this with friends and family members. Their logic is, “hey, this payout is more than a started with, so why complain?” For example, if they hit an All/Tall/Small things on craps with the lower pay table. They don’t quite get that a payout can be sizable AND still not enough to balance out (partially) a lot of the losing hands.
It was in that semi-circular bank of machines by the escalators. I didn't look to see if there were others, just seems unlikely that I stumbled onto the ONLY one in the place. I suspect that there were multiple ones with 6/5 at the $ 5 denom. But I didn't check them all.Quote: WizardI suspect they still have better pay tables at lower denoms and this machine was an aberration.

What can I say ? I'm busy, I'm getting older, I uh, what was I going to say ?
ANYWAYS 6 years and later and, NO CHANGE. I sortof/kindof vaguely remembered, but not totally "to be honest".
