Any thoughts ?

Some pundits have said that the best thing about RIO is that PALMS is a 5 minute walk away.

That is optimistic.
At my age, a "Life In Prison" sentence is not much of a deterrent.

Actually, I think that if it was just sold or is being sold, that would DELAY the re-opening. So I am going to toss out Sept 1st (2021).

If I was asked about legendary Vegas casinos, The Palms would be way down on the list. Ghost Bar was great in its day, and the Playboy Club was hot for a moment, but I've never thought of the Palms as much more than an Orleans class casino with a tinge of MTV thrown in.

I agree, to me Palms was the MTV casino. They did have some really great AP opportunities many years ago. Their coupons for getting paid double on four of a kinds was legendary.
