I am considering a stay there.
My #1 concern?
Are the rooms musty.
It is not difficult to find a clean hotel room. A room can be clean but still have a damp/funky smell to it.
What about the rooms at the MC?

I've generally heard comments about very clean rooms at the Monte Carlo. South Point and Tuscany Suites too.

I stayed there once and the cleanliness/odor was just fine. I don't think I've stayed in a room with a damp smell to it in Vegas, probably because the humidity is so low for the most part. My gripe is that they put me on the north side of the building, where they were constructing the City Center at the time. So, I got to wake up at 5:00 every morning to the sounds of trucks and construction equipment. When I checked out, they had a box full of ear plugs at the desk. I was busy working during the day, so I didn't have time to argue and switch rooms.
I heart Crystal Math.

Just stayed at the Monte Carlo from December 4th to December 7th, 2011. Was there for the Las Vegas Marathon....oh yeah, that was awesome!
The rooms were fine, aside from the sheets being the wrong size, after that was fixed, the room was cozy and good for the price. Good location on the strip, easy access to the Bellagio via tram. Definitely would recommend staying here rather than the Excalibur or Mandalay Bay (location only, if you have a rental car, go for the Mandalay).

The las Vegas casinos thread needs to be updated with the new name.
Anybody know if the construction is pretty much over?
Is the front entrance open?
