When people talk about how great white castle is, the first thing I think of is, "Have they never been to In N Out before?"

Agreed, I would trade all of the White Castles here in the Midwest for one In N Out within 100 miles from the Chicago area.

OH SH--

was my first thought upon reading this topic. Love Whitecastle. Ate a ton of that shit in college. I'm actually jealous of the current students at my former institution of higher learning. When I was there, the closest Whitecastle was about an hour's drive. We would drive it occasionally and everyone would chip in for a few crave cases. Now they have one right in town. Whippersnappers!

Anyway, I'll definitely hit this up next time I'm in Vegas.

M-I-Z...? I just ate it when I went back home when I was going to school there...lol

I have...in Vegas of course on Dean Martin. Worst burger I've had in years. Fries sucked too. I didn't get it "animal style" which may be part of the problem, but considering I hate mustard, I don't see how I would like it that way either.

Yes, yes, however variety is the spice of life. Now you just have to convince future GFs/ BF's (whichever you prefer ) of that and your all set.

So I was just there for the grand opening.

Long line-- I didn't verify it myself, but when my dealer got back from a break, he said it was curled around to the back of the building.

What are prices usually like at a White Castle (and if anybody got in to check, this one)?

I believe the combo that included 4 burgers, fries and a drink was $7.99. The prices are definitely higher than at other White Castles but i guess that is expected as all restaurants on the strip are more expensive.

I believe I said this in another thread, but I think this will be the highest grossing fast food location in the country.

Found a price list to baseline "normal" prices: http://www.fastfoodmenuprices.com/white-castle-prices/

It doesn't look like they're equipped to handle the kind of traffic I'd expect. If they're always going to have a line, that'd do awful things to potential profitability.

My guess is the line dies down after the novelty wears off. White Castle has a certain kind of nostalgic appeal to those who grew up in the midwest/east, but honestly there's nothing worth waiting in line for about their food. I realize I say this having already mentioned my glee earlier in this thread...it's just one of those things you get a craving for occasionally.

I think most of the line is probably people from the west who have heard about it and never been there. "Oh! White Castle, we have to try that!"

I actually bought a 6 pack of white castle burgers from a 711 the other day.

It was kind of by accident. I was driving home and intended to stop by the usual gas station to get some supplies. When I walked in I was totally confused. I walked out and realized I wasn't at the right gas station.

So I walked back in, still in a daze, and bought a drink and I saw a box in the freezer area that had white castle on it. So I bought them.

I just wolfed down 2 of them puppies. Not as bad as I expected (I mean come on, they are from the East coast, aren't they?).
