Just read the new CP review on the site, thanks.
It would seem that pool area is open to the public now that they have poolside gaming as per Nevada regulations. Can anyone confirm this?

Interesting point!
I've seen signs at Mandalay Bay and Golden Nugget that indicate the poolside tables are open to everyone but the pool is for guests only. They check keycards when you enter, but I don't know how they would keep track of you and make sure you don't go in the pool. At Caesars, the tables are actually in the pool, so I guess they'd have to let you swim.

Nobu, will take over Centurion Tower. Nobu, is a well known Japanese/Latino fusion restaurant chain. They will take over the 40 year old Centurion tower (180 rooms) and renovate it into a themed luxury hotel. A new restaurant will be added at the ground level.
Nobu already operates a restaurant at Hard Rock. They will not close the older location.
Despite news stories that that Mandarin Oriental is one of the biggest losers at City Center, and that the Harmon hotel will not open. Also Ceasars corporation has not opened their long delayed new tower at Ceasars itself. I guess the luxury boutique hotel market remains eternally optimistic.
