A little more than a month ago I got an email from Total Rewards saying "congratulations you've been awarded 2000 extra tier points". Great right? No, everyone in the program was awarded them, so "It's easier for you to reach your next level.". Now I'm not a big player, $5/10 tables of UTH, THB, LIT, Roulette and quarter VP, so for me to get to Platinum was an achievement I was proud of and have maintained for the last 2+ years with a lot of trips to AC and LV. But now all those Gold players who were marginal at best with 2000 or more points are all Platinum players now, and on platinum lines, getting platinum perks, something I worked hard at getting to. I'm never going to get to 11,000 points to achieve Diamond, so those 2000 point awarded to everyone, in my mind, hurts me. To me 6000 points or 8000 points is no difference.

I really have no point to make about this, just expressing dissatifaction with Total Rewards. Just don't think it's fair.

I, of course, didn't get them either. It sounds to me (if this moved you from 6,000 to 8,000) like it might just be a technique to try to get you to earn 3,000 more points before the end of the year. Doesn't sound like too bad a marketing ploy to me; surely they would expect to get more profit while you are earning those 3,000 points than the Diamond status would cost them, and without those 2k in promo points you might stay away.

I won't be getting to 11K. It did make me think about trying to get to Diamond, but that lasted all of 10 seconds. Both my wife and I(on the same card) and a year of gaming got us to 6K in Oct. But it did cross my mind so I guess it was a good marketing ploy. Maybe if the bonus got me over 9 or 10K I would make a push for the next status.

I am Diamond, and to my knowledge, I have not received anything indicating I earned a bonus 2000 tier credits...

However, this just leads me to believe that TR is working on creating another level between Diamond and Seven Star that eventually become "the new Diamond", perhaps Ruby level.

I guess it was for a targeted group of Platinums. I thank those who answered and apologize for jumping to conclusions that everyone got them. See what happens when I assume.

Getting platinum perks.

Besides shorter lines, what are those perks?

An empty Check in line is a huge perk. This means alot to me. In LV, restaurant and cashier lines are segregated too. And just an overall better rapport with hotel employees and the casino floor.

Other than that probably not much except maybe a better discounted weekend rate(some comped, some @$30 for a Friday) in AC than the Gold tier.

I'm Platnium and didn't get them either. I'm sure it's a ploy to try and get you to go for Diamond.

Don't feel bad about it and don't go for Diamond unless you are willing to keep climbing the tier score ladder. I highly doubt Caesars Inc is going to add another tier level. The offers and comps are based on your tier score as you progress. For example, an 11,000 Diamond card holder is much lower than a Diamond card holder who has 25,000. This also goes for 7-Star members. A player with a tier score of 100,000 is much lower than a 7-Star with 200,000 tier score.

When you reach Diamond you have to kep climbing to get extra comp dollars, entries into tournamets, junkent flights and so forth. The best thing about Diamond is priority reservartion line, free rooms almost anytime at almost any casino, Diamond lines for valet, taxis, cashier cage.

Best thing about 7-Star....1 free trip to any casino Caesars owns (even overseas). 1 free trip to any US casino. These trips include a flight, and the ability to bring two other guests with you. Comped suites at almost every casino. Comped rooms anywhere....there are 7-star floors in some casinos that can only be reserved by 7-star players so you have a place to stay no matter what is going on in Vegas.

Jamie can you speak to the value of the diamond lounge? I know there is finger food and comp drinks.

Also is there still Video Poker at the bar in the lounge in Rincon? If you are a VP player can you speak to how good or bad the paytables are there?

The Diamond Lounge at Rincon is pretty nice. It is the only place in the casino, even my room, where I can get perfect cell phone coverage. There are Video Poker machines in the bar but I do not know how to read the pay tables correctly because I don't play VP that much. I'm sure I can find an article explaining how to read paytables and get back to you when/if I return.

The Diamond Lounges in Vegas are sweet because you get free drinks and they are stocked with salad bars.

All I am really interested in is that the bonus poker game pays 8 for a full house and 5 for a flush, or a jacks or better game that pays 9 and 6 respectively. \

Rincon has 8/5 bonus poker throughout the casino, even at some of the public bars. (Remember no comping of alcoholic drinks.) I'm not Diamond so I don't know how good bonus poker is inside the diamond room. 9/6 Jacks has been gone for some time now.

I know, I know, BIG DEAL, but I went to the Diamond Lounge
at Horseshoe with a friend of a friend at the Horseshoe
Cleveland this past weekend.

It was nice enough. Some big screen TV's. A big bar, but
all the seats were taken, so I don't know if there was any
VP there. I don't think so.

Yep, some finger type foods.

And some comfy chairs to watch the big flat screen TV's.

The drinks, I think, were a lot cheaper. I had a couple of
glasses of vino and they were only $ 2 each plus a generous
tip.
