If so, what did you win from that promotion?

Is that the one with guy standing at the entrance enticing passerby to free play a special bank of machines near the player's club. Because if it is, I didn't win anything.
Didn't you get a coupon for a free picture with the Million Dollar display? Everyone's a winner... heheQuote: GreasyjohnIs that the one with guy standing at the entrance enticing passerby to free play a special bank of machines near the player's club. Because if it is, I didn't win anything.

I have about 5 photos of myself from 2010 to last year of myself and friends in front of that Million Dollars. I also have a photo of myself when I was younger in front of the original display. I used to see Benny Binion there from time to time. He used to sit at booth #1 in the coffee shop (first booth on the right as you enter).

Are they still doing that? That's terrific!
This was nearly a year ago, but to the best of my recollection, I won a hat, $10 Free Play, $20 Non-Negotiable Chips, $10 Non-Negotiable Chips and a couple free drink things. Based on my very limited sample size and stuff I saw (or heard about) other people winning, I'd say it is very slightly +EV for a Video Poker player to do the first two levels.
Are you sure you got nonnegs? Last time I picked them up, they were even-money promos.
Edit: Piles of FP, promo chips, a few fanny packs, jackets, shirts, meal coupons, free drinks, flashlights, key chains, light up pins, card bungees...

I am 100% sure they were non-negotiable chips at that time, and they could be played on anything.

Quote: prozemaI'm heading downtown next week and I saw this was still an active promotion on the Binions web site. How does the 3 swipe thing work? One at each level?
Yes.

Plenty of misinformation on this thread but first I would like to comment about the rooms at the old Horseshoe and the Golden Gate. It seems to me those rooms were very nice and for the nostalgia factor they were very good at least to me. I also liked how at the Horseshoe you could move around the floors and come down the spiral staircase or sneak down the small elevator beside the old Baccarat Pit that was huge! Or you could of made your way over to the old Buffet. I guess I liked that old feel to the place transporting me back to a time lost.
The Golden Gate has the same feel. 20s or a 40s feel. A few years ago the renovated and those rooms are just fine for a nights rest and back to gambling. I like how tight they are and how the showers are or were. Like I say this is just me. I also liked both coffee shops at the Golden Gate and I enjoy all of the food at the Horseshoe. The used to have the best Deli in the city at one time.
I guess if your going to stay downtown and want to play or some information I was reading on the other Gambling Forum about Talk in Las Vegas. They have this member over there that I think is nuked here. He is going off on some crazy tyrant talking about mail and the plays all over the city. I don't see much point in the discussion but it is a good read. The last time I played at Binions I found it to be just fine with getting all sorts of different tickets from the 300 point promotion. Plenty of free food and the card is a 1% add on with comp and cash. I think they treat you pretty good if you have enough time to make it worth your while.
It was actually about a month ago. How you gonna act now? Back to you plugging nuked attention wh*res. Btw, if when I'm old as that assh*le I'm still bragging on message boards about my mail plays, someone please kick my ass (a good ol MMA demonstration). I'll deserve it.
