Hey,

I was just trying to see which Casino's use the same sportsbook providers. I'm mainly doing this so that I can arb my bets and not waste time going into a casino that has the same provider and thus will have the same odds.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks

There are only a few actual sources of the OPENING LINE, but from there, each casino will diverge from that line, since a given casino's decision to move the line is based on the action it alone receives. Therefore, you will NOT find the same line at two casinos that originally used the same source for their opening line.

This comes about because casinos book their bets independent of one another, and thus enjoy their wins or suffer their losses separately. It would be to their advantage to collude on setting the line, and on moving or not moving it, so that nobody could "shop" the lines, nobody could find a "middle", etc. But until they agree to also pool their RESULTS (making, in effect, one huge, citywide sports book), that's never gonna happen.

Ok thanks,

Well is there anywhere online that shows the revenue per annum of the casino sportsbooks as that would essentially give me a basic understanding of who is offering the wrong (and generous price) or at least who gets the most business.

Thanks,

A wizard did it! https://wizardofodds.com/sports/sports_apx3.html lists the books by groups. Every property in the group has the same lines.

As I understand Sports Book in Vegas, they discourage cell phones and computers so as to prevent coordinated activities such as shopping for a better line or locking in some arbitrage differential between Sports Books that have had different action and so have different lines.

I would imagine that since these are publicly owned companies, you could obtain income statements that hopefully, would break down revenues by property, and by department within each property. The Nevada Gaming Control Board would be a good place to go for such information, as well.

The above ignores the question of what good the information would do you. The difference between a good year and a bad year for a given sportsbook depends on the outcomes of a few major events, and in turn, the relative action on each side. Since this is beyond the sportsbooks' control, it follows that a book that made lots of money last year is not necessarily "bad" for the players, nor does a book having lost money means that it is "good".
