We placed a bet at the Venetian one year ago for about $450. (It was broken up into a $300 bet and $150 bet) The bet was the Patriots o/u of 11 for the 2013 NFL Season. The bet won barely.
My brother e-mailed them on March 21 asking if we could just bring the ticket to Vegas with us in May to cash it. They e-mailed back and said "No, that would be after the expiration date"
My brother sent the tickets in one envelope registered mail on March 21. They received it on March 26.
On April 17, my brother sent them an e-mail asking where our money was.
On April 18, we received a check for ONE of the tickets.
On April 21, my brother e-mailed them asking where the rest of the money was.
On April 21, Cantor e-mailed back saying they were looking into it.
On April 25, Cantor e-mailed and said it was being sent in the mail that day.
On May 6, my brother called them and said we still had not received the money.
On May 7, Cantor called and said they put it in the mail on May 5.
So we are at 6 weeks since they received the ticket in the mail, and we have still not been paid the full amount. Therefore, I advise everyone to use your sports betting dollars elsewhere, since you do not know if you will get your money.
(My sister-in-law made a bet for me at Mandalay. She lost the ticket. I e-mailed them, and they paid me within days of when they said they would. MGM customer service was amazing)
Quote: onenickelmiracleIf it's in the mail since Monday, how would it get to you by today? Are you in the states where it's supposed to be mailed? Did they have a tracking number to give you?
It should have gotten here a month ago. This is just a recap of everything. They keep screwing up and lying. No, of course they did not provide us with a tracking number.
I presume you got a return-receipt indicating the letter was received. If legal, I'd have a word with NGC.
Quote: PokeraddictIn the future, make a deposit for their app and bet it there. That way you don't have to bother with this. You can just pick your money up next time you are in LV.
I can do that even though I'm not a Nevada resident?
EDIT - I don't go to Vegas that frequently, so I'd rather not do that anyway.
Quote: 98ClubsIIRC isn't Cantor Sprtsbook the owner/ previous owner of some shall we say nefarious On-Line Gaming enterprises?

Yeah, I think we'll let them know we're contacting NGC if we haven't received it by Friday. That'll maybe light a fire under them.
The only sportsbook I have abailable to me is on a Gambling boat and I either use that or none at all. Fortunately I don't do sports betting so a monopoly doesn't bother me.
Quote: FleaStiffI think this is annoying but a bit too little to call for a boycott of them. Get your money, cash their check promptly. Don't trust them again. Take your business elsewhere if possible.

It's a personal boycott, and a warning to others traveling to Vegas... We're already all boycotting Venetian, right? So no reason to go to their sportsbook either.

Pokeraddict, would you be good enough to explain your post? I do not know what you had meant to say.

Cantor, Will Hill, South Point and friends and Station all have sports betting apps. Station also has a website. I don't believe you have to be a NV resident, at least it is not in the regs. Station once advertised that you didn't have to be one for sure. You open an account with them, for Station you have to go to Sportsconnection.com first (at least that was once the case), the other ones you just show up at their book and complete the application. You must give your SSN and must have a smart phone.
One thing I don't like about Cantor is that you have to cash a ticket at the same casino where it was made. The MGM casinos have the same policy. However, Stations, Boyd, William Himm and Caesars properties let you cash a ticket at any of their properties.

This is correct, the apps work outside NV but the system will reject your bet if you don't geolocate in NV. At least you never have to worry about losing your ticket or it expiring.

when i feel like playing ultimate poker and i'm on the road, i just VPN through my home connection, and switch the phone number on my account profile to a burner phone that i keep plugged in with $5 of minutes in the closet.
i'm sure a similar method would work for the sports betting apps, as they likely use the same geolocation services (or something similar).
Why don't you just tell them or whoever to get a BOVADA sports account?Quote: FinsRuleHere is the experience my brother and I are having with Cantor Sportsbook:
