My daughter MaryJo has WIFI and you can name your account. So the neighbors or their company sees it when they are looking for a free hookup. FBI Survelliance Van ....... Bet she has scared the hell out of mote than just one tweaker...

What is puzzling, is that member DMSCR is allowed to hound and harass a former member up until the point the latter blows his cool, not only that, but received not one, not even two, but THREE temporary bans for doing so, as well as sending his childish "bye bye" PM's to gloat. He likes to put on a sensible hat now and again for peer acceptance, finally another web-site has seen through his charade and shown him the gravel.
Yeah I feel very much aggrieved, that this sick vile individual gets off scott free. Vile, sick? Well some of the comments he resorted to on other boards such as hoping people will die of cancer, mocking of sleep patterns, (hey check out his attachments on this forum, he indulged the exact toned down behaviour here) Check out how many valid threads he simply ruined, maybe ask yourself, what purpose is he here? To be in front of the queue when it comes to be a childish snitch, not a bid trait for a spotter of "patterns within patterns" wimp.
Okay, Beachbumbabs do your stuff, oh yeah perfectly understandable why you wanted that picture pulled.

That is hilarious! I have heard about and seen some great WiFi network names. One guy named his network "The guys in apartment B103 are drunk and loud" or something (he was annoyed at their late night parties). One of my friends named their network "Hey couple in apartment 2, I can hear you having sex."

I've been radiated so many times now, I feel like I've been deported to Chernobyl. If the mods had fairly implemented the rules of this forum in an even manner, we wouldn't be were we are today, bint.
On the one hand you have people connecting under different names, say from home or from work.
Then othertimes we had false alerts (what's up with Beethoven9?).
Walkinshaw and Stats seemed to be well-behaved, so must we consider the only problem is a comon IP address?
Why is this rule in effect, originally?

This is OT, but the other thread is locked. I had a great idea for the Wizard to additionally monetize this site. Unfortunately I was in an altered state this weekend and didn't write it down. So naturally I don't remember it now :P

Speaking of mmorpgs. Blizzard should think about bringing back the Auction House for ROS somewhat but for crafting materials. It is a darn grind to obtain them. Just getting those plans for them legendaries is a chore on its very own.

When I used to play I started out buying bulk mats and seperating them into stacks to create items such as 4x silk cloth, 10x herbs, etc. People pay a big premium for convenience especially when its not real money. Later on I disenchanted weapons into materials which sold for many times more, with a probability of getting large radiant shards which were many times over more valuable.
There was a thing about buying out items that you could sell to a NPC merchant for a lot more as well. Golden pearls sold for 50s at auction and 1g to merchants.
I put together enough gold to buy lv19 twink gear because of PVP and arenas. They were great to buy and sell quickly since you can charge 10-20% more because only one or two sold at a time. Eventually I flipped purples and stacks of 100g worth of mats and trinkets because the purple market is like real estate, buy low, wait a long time, then realise profit.
Best time to buy was right before server shutdowns on Tuesday I think it was. You can snipe auctions that end in8 hours with no competitors. Also buy on weekdays, sell on weekends when dumb kids get out of school and overpay for everything.
.... Ya I was a WOW nerd. By the time I quit I ammased like 10k gold when the most expensive thing you could buy was a lv 60 mount. I listed every purple on a server if I could get it cheap, or if I could charge a premium.

The rule came into effect after a rather tenacious troll repeatedly made sock puppets and reentered to cause mayhem. I don't remember the exact count, but it was over seven times. Might even be well over seven times. It went on for many months, and got pretty grimey.
Wiz strikes me as a very fair man, often times to his pain. Rather than ruling as a dictator, which is well within his power and none of us would fault him for, he prefers to have rules to go by. So the multiple accounts rule was born.
That was several years ago. I wasn't even aware of spoofing back then and couldn't even say how readily available it was. Obviously today, it's very easy.
But IP alone won't get you banned. If a mod were to check me right now, I match with three others because of where I'm logged in from. I occasionally see members that have 1 to 4 other matches with other members, and haven't issued a single ban or even warning for it. Rather, it's another tool to use. For some of the lazier trolls, who for instance get banned as "Steve" and then return in five minutes under the name "NotSteve" and have an IP match, yeah, I insta-ban them. Others, it sort of depends.
In the case you questioned, I can only assume as I wasn't the one who did it. Still good stuff though. I think that duplicate accounts should be allowed in situations like this.

It generally is. Since I/we missed it initially, and it was done as a joke and not with the intent of getting around a rule, I'm going to enjoy his joke and let him finish it.

WhaleGeorge was me. I started it as a joke and then mostly forgot about it until AxiomOfChoice brought it up today. I realize I broke the rule about duplicate accounts, and I am grateful to BBB for her mercy in this matter. FWIW, FleaStiff never really engaged with the attempted troll, to his credit.
As duplicate accounts is a pretty serious offense, I would completely understand if a suspension issued by the Wiz or one of the other mods came down. I just hope it wouldn't be the standard nuke, as I have come to like this place pretty well. However, I understand not wanting to create loopholes. "No duplicate accounts! Unless they're funny!" I will leave that in their hands.
Furthermore, I deserve a ban for not more intelligently covering my tracks. As a software developer and generally intelligent internet user, I should have been able to pull this off without getting caught :p.

WhaleGeorge has just washed up on the beach of banishment. (Now that A&8 gave up the joke.) I personally don't think this rises to the level of a suspension, but in our hierarchy, I can be overruled.

I have no doubt some long time members have multiple accounts. I not just talking the usual suspects. Usually but not always they are also people who have or had systems.
