I was complimenting Face and I sincerely meant every word. I have survival skills and most certainly could make it from Connecticut to Western New York. Face isn't the only one with weapons. It's just not something I talk about on a gambling forum but suffice to say, you would be impressed. Same with religion and politics. My wife and I have many friends that we discuss these things with and boy do we discuss. We don't whine about insults either. We say what's on our minds without walking on eggshells. There's no "gotcha" in our world.

I am impressed, again. You never cease to amaze me. The same could be said for many of the members here. I only hope that if/when it's in the fan that you manage to regroup, thrive and prosper.

It's very clear from EB's posts that he does not let lack of meaningful gambling-related comments and/or knowledge on a subject to stop him from typing in responses and posting them.
That's not an attack.
That is an observation.
In the interests of fairness, it should be made these points: that the behavior enforced and reinforced by the rules of this board are not strictly conducive towards meaningful interactions (about gambling on this forum), especially when such meaningful interactions might invite criticism (for example when idiots disagree with people who possess actual knowledge). There is something known as the "rule of unintended consequences" that is constantly being explored on this and many other threads as it relates to the effects of the rules on the quality level of the posts of this forum.
We have some idiots on this forum. That's a fact. I can't name them, but they are here.
We also have some very bright minds from the industry on here.
Then we have some who think themselves to be one who are actually the other, and all sorts of in-between states.
The rules are designed more to protect (people) than to promote (good conversations that are meaningful about gambling).

One of the things I always wondered. If I took your eyes and looked at the world would the color pallet be the same. I call green, green because that is what I have been taught. What if my green you see as purple? Can you imagine seeing the world with all colors being different.

My point is very clear: EvenBob's posts are often EXTREMELY vapid on content.
It is OKAY to post fluff. The forum allows for that.
That was the point I was making.
And if it was made by talking about the content of EB's post as being vapid, that's just what it is.

Very vapid on gambling topic, and very typical for WOV post.
Splitting hairs over insult versus non-insult.
Wasting time protecting people (especially of the anon variety) instead of talking about gambling subjects.

Axel, I respect your "shoot from the hip" style as demonstrated by your implication that I am full of that substance that some of us would get suspended for posting, whether it is disguised or not. I would never say that someone was full of that substance because I like to think that I can present my point without scataological references. Shoot from the hip seems to work for you but it's not my style. Some find it refreshing, as long as it's not directed at them. I find it old fashioned and unimaginative.

There is no one post or statement. Its a number of posts where you seem to have have issues with the suspension list, biased moderation, unethical treatment of new members and various other things.

There's always that potential I suppose, but based on my personal experience in that regard I don't think it is terribly likely.
I can be fairly abrasive, and some comments I'd made irked a member sufficiently to induce said member to travel to Las Vegas in order to confront me at the first WoVCon I attended, requesting that I apologize for comments I'd made.
I refused to apologize.
That could have been the tipping point: were that individual so inclined it could have escalated to harsh words or fisticuffs, but of course it did not: we're a civilized bunch here, after all.

There is a precedent here for that and it was taken very seriously. I wouldn't want to see you get suspended. Being the weekend the mods may not be available if you call one at their home and beg for reinstatement like you have done in the past.

These were two good posters or maybe one? Two members became suspicious with one asking bloodoil if he was Buzzard. If it was I would like to know so I can add those names to the Buzzard list.
I was struck by the screen names and wonder if they were from TV shows. Red John was the villain on the Mentalist and Blood & Oil is a new ABC series starring Don Johnson. It's a shameless knockoff of Dallas and is on the verge of being canceled.
Others have used more than one name here and have been able to get straightened out. I hope that opportunity was extended in this case.
I have another question that will probably go unanswered because I asked it but here goes. Can two people open accounts here on the same computer? The address will be the same but they are two separate people. If that were to occur would the administration expect to be notified in advance? I could see the potential for abuse but should anyone be denied membership here simply for sharing a computer?
