Discussion about the Suspension List
We are told that he no longer has insult protection. If that doesn't sound like an invitation to rip into him I don't know what does. I will not do that. Not my style with someone who is unable to respond. That would be bullying in my book and no one should be bullied.
Face mentioned something in the MonkeyFest2015 thread that may be relevant here. Mental illness. He didn't single anyone out, he just mentioned it in general. Mental illness can take many forms and can include pathological lying, self-aggrandizing and all that goes along with it. I would never presume to analyze or diagnose anyone but even a layman can see the signs here. Another possible reason that Baccaratfrom79 didn't appear as promised could be that he was afraid that his "adventures" may have been brought up in front of his wife and she would have no idea about them. Tough break that worker dying in your arms. Huh? How do you like your new SUV? Huh? Must be difficult going back and forth between two houses. Huh?
In our volunteer work, my wife and I come in contact with mentally impaired folks from all walks of life. All are treated with kindness and compassion and are never ridiculed, scorned or mocked.
Under his 2nd name he admitted being gay. It would have been nice for him to get banned and leave. Everyone could forget about him and move on. Unfortunately he is back with a new career giving "advice" as a host.
Its one thing pretending to be a gambler or restaurant owner because that won't really affect anyone.
I take issue with this charade it could affect someones wallet or the way they approach a gambling situation.
He's already spouting off how you need a huge line of credit 50 to 100k to get a LR or whatever (something I believe B79 said before) Same thing Eliot said.
As we seen in AOS's trip report thats not true. AOS got $500 for just asking.

Why would B79 want to come back after not honoring his bets/commitments and being exposed?
Perhaps He didn't think he would get caught, He may have been in Vegas at the time and was able to obtain different IP's
Something happened, perhaps when he returned home and logged in his IP's suddenly matchup.
Since he was suspended for calling a troll a troll, I'd hate for him to be locked up any longer than necessary.

He was unbanned before you wrote this, right at midnight the 28th, by me, since I happened to still be online. If you're ever wondering, the easiest place to check is the bottom of the main forum page; everybody's listed who's visited today, in alphabetical order. Next easiest (and best if they haven't been in) is under Rules from the main forum page, the Suspension List is available, and suspended members are hyperlinked (usually). Click on their name, and it will either say "regular member" or "restricted member" on their profile.

FWIW, this is my read as well. Ron's comment was about indignant's behavior and not about indignant's IQ.

There is a case for two personal insults; maybe there was a third somewhere that I missed. i still haven't seen that particular line of reasoning used much here.
No comment from a moderator on the suspension, just added to the list. Perhaps it was the Secret Moderator that infiltrates the board. There is no need for a secret moderator, if there is one (which I cannot confirm or deny...well, because I just don't know), but this is someone else's house so I can have an opinion but not change anything...
The thread that the insult was posted in is a farce. It is basically one person trying to claim something exists (which we all agree on, pretty much) and is used by the casino's to exploit the game (which about one person here agrees on). No proof of that part of it at all and no acceptance of any of the reasonable answers from any of the board members. It is little wonder that an insult and a suspension resulted; sometimes you just get fed up with someone calling you a liar...but not directly....

The only other suspension I see for ontariodealer is a 7 day issued on 1/19/15. You can now take comfort, RonC, in the fact that you are not the only one to receive a 7 day suspension for a first offense. Don't you feel all warm and fuzzy now? :-)

I missed that one, and it makes the whole thing make more sense now...you could say that there are three personal insults now if you count two that happened in different posts.
Not unreasonable, but a little stiff. If that is the actual logic used (and I don't know if it has been used in the past) to get to 14, one could argue that it should be 21...7+14.
Yes, I do remember taking a week long break when the normal first suspension is three days. It is the Wizard's house and he made the call...but I do feel that I should have five days of good time now instead of just one!! Again, opinion...I can't do anything but stay off the list!
I didn't respond immediately because I was irritated. I know that thread is ridiculous, every person here knows that thread is ridiculous. There are examples beyond count that posting in it is going to engender a response that is laughable at best. Still, that doesn't remove your responsibility to react and respond within the rules. OD's response was not needed for many reasons. The fact that he did just irritated me. I don't like losing valued members, and I damn sure don't like navigating and editing the jungle that is the Suspension List. To do so because of that particular brand of nonsense put me out.
Rather than address him in the irritated mental state I was in, I just shut up and began updating the list. There was no reason to scold him and correct him like a child, and any address I would've given in that state of mind would've been just that. So I saw he already had a 7, saw the 7 was for nearly the same insult, and didn't go any further. 14 was an easy, by-the-book decision, with no room for questioning.
While I was editing that damnable list, my kid finished the job I gave him and wanted to go fishing. I didn't have to correct him or remind him or encourage him; he did exactly as I had instructed. Not wanting to make him wait, I finished up the edit and ran right out the door. After fishing and dinner and tubby and movie time and story time, some 6 hours had passed. I forgot all about OD's transgression.
Please do remind me when OD is free. Early June is going to be a hectic disaster for me, and I'm already traditionally poor at remembering to release the condemned.

Isn't it, though? I think all dads worry if their son is going to pick up their chosen craft. This one has been going with me since he was 3 and bugs me incessantly, all day every day, to go out again. Needless to say, I'm pretty pleased. Except, perhaps, for the fact that I've created a monster. I brought him into the little game we play of keeping a season score. The little s#$% is beating me so far this year, 15 - 7. And he's only 6 ><

Viewed in a light most favorable to the accused, an argument can certainly be made that he posted having a good faith belief that the theories he questioned were the product of delusional or impaired thought, aka that the speaker was, ipso facto, "nuts" or a "retard."
