Discussion II about the Suspension List

But I will say this: The situation that lead to my banning has resolved itself with the player I had concerns about misleading people having admitted to some of my concerns and has now left the gambling/AP forums community. I have no further issues or ill will towards anyone involved. I regret some of the things I said after my banning on other forums, but think everyone involved handled the situation badly and there is plenty of blame to go around. I am just looking forward to moving forward.
Thanks to Mike for inviting me back. I look forward to a forum that I can discuss some gambling, advantage play, Las Vegas topics without being attacked for everything I say.

Welcome back. At the time of your banning I lamented it. As a non-AP (Me!) who is fascinated by what you guys do, I always LOVED reading you posts about how EV and variance were your life. I in some ways was able to live vicariously through you and mostly Axel. Now Axel and Mission have taught me a few minor AP tactics, which I had been doing a little of before the pandemic. I hope you will ignore the people who are here just to agitate, and keep posting frequently.

He didn’t get nuked for anything said directly in a thread, exactly. If you want to see some semi-relevant posts, just click his name on the Members List, go to ‘See All Posts,” and look at the most recent ones not from the last 24h.

With all due respect, I would say that asking to be directed to the subject matter is not the same thing as, "Bringing it up," in the sense that Wizard meant. That's assuming he just wanted to read about it rather than actually discuss it.

Monkey had been bumping many old threads in what looked like a build up to a spamming exercise. Wizard might have had other evidence.

I've always suspected that AxelWolf is the "secret moderator" of this forum (Wizard has admitted that WOV has an undeclared moderator).
As for OneChance, he takes the time to read almost everything and is pleasant and respectful. Name any other moderator who has been constantly attentive to the forum during the last 6 months. (Wizard has been quoted to say that he only reads about 5% of the forum.)
If I was a secret moderator people wouldn't know names such as Nathan/Kentry or anybody from Florida for that matter. I wouldn't let ridiculous threads such as 'Beating randomness' get past the 2nd post. I would Auto ban anyone who had a screen name with the word baccarat in it. To narrow it down, I took a few screenshots a year or two ago when I noticed some spam posts getting nuked, yet no mods were online. I think I know who one is, but didn’t really bother investigating much.
I was briefly a secret mod and did some simple spam clearing, especially during US night hours. Anything that required policy interpretation was deferred to a regular mod. They can edit for sure. the "last edited by" stamp is how I know who one is/was.

Perhaps Wizard will offer a better or more of an answer, but here are a few reasons that I might think.
1. Someone might want to help out with the site without actually being Green. Spam deletion, and what have you. I think I mentioned it when I resigned, but I actually still have the ability to delete spam and ban the spammers, because there were some permissions I needed to retain in order to also be able to edit articles...which I obviously have to be able to do.***
2. Being a Secret Mod isn't exactly a, 'Training,' per se, but I know I was a Secret Mod for a short time before going green. Mainly shows that you're not going to run around doing stupid and arbitrary things.
3. Because you wouldn't necessarily want everyone to be able to tell if there is or is not a Moderator online. Otherwise, they could make posts that might be against the rules, but then edit them before any Moderator sees them and could take action.
Those three aside, you'd have to ask Wizard.
***For the record, I take no action as relates active posters and have no input. I'll also only outright delete spam threads if that is the only post in the thread.
