There was no other alternative. It is on a long to-do list to give admins the ability to change anybody's signature or avatar, but we're not there yet. At DT we can.
MaxPen knows how to reach me outside of the forum, should he wish to return, but I doubt he will.
About a year ago, the Wizard was offended by the signature line that Nareed was using in that other forum and made the following post:

I was actually the one that suggested to MaxPen that he take a stand(or was it just an evil plan?) and take a suspension over changing his Avatar ,thus leaving it intact since he's not posting here anyways, just as a f*** you to the person who complained.
Win-win situation, he gets to leave his Avatar forever or until he decides to come back.
I think I'm still triggered about this type of nonsense.
I think I'm going to start quoting MaxPen frequently just so we keep his Avatar front and center. Of course, I'll keep it gambling-related or on topic when I do.
Can we please remove all the other possible political avatars or have them suspended until they do? Or does there need to be an official Complaint?

I went out shooting today, I played some pickled all the other day, I do plenty of voice chatting with other Advantage players and whatnot, I have a wife and lots of animals. And even if none of that was available I would be absolutely happy and content being at home, I love being at home. Bumping his posts are a clear violation of Rule 9. And I surely would call you out on it if I saw it. But personally, I got a chuckle out of Max's avatar.

Nareed left DT because the forum was not anti-Trump enough. Nareed wanted no posts that disagreed with Nareed's point of view on the matter. So Nareed took Nareed's ball and went home.

I don't think it would be a violation. I wouldn't do it just to bump a thread. As I said, I would make a relevant post. There's absolutely no rule about quoting somebody when you post in a thread. For example, since we're talking about him right now there's absolutely no reason I shouldn't be able to quote him, it would certainly be relevant. I seem to recall Mike asking people to at least write something if they want to bump a threat and not just write the word bump.

As a free speech kind of guy, I am for allowing Bob to keep his avatar. Understanding this is a private site, paid for by someone else, I do not believe that Bob's avatar would hurt the business interests of the site. If Wiz or his bosses think it will hurt the business interests, then that would be a reason to have him remove it.

According to the voting it seems like it's a clear case where it should be taken down since there are 16 people that are OKAY with it.
However, there are 19 people that are OFFENDED by it.
Even if a majority of the people were okay with it, doesn't the fact that such a large group of people are offended by something take precedent, especially when it comes to a business decision?

Since then, there's only been three more votes on that side and one of them was mine, so that would leave 2 possible shills
On Bob's side there's been a huge spike in voting, so if there's any Shilling going on, it's most likely on that side.
Since we're only speculating about the number of shills, we should just assume there's an equal amounts on both sides, even though, there's more likely to be shill on the side of the member who's being affected since there's more motivation there.

Edit to add: For the most part, I don't think anybody should have to take down their avatars. I hadn't seen any that were offencive. But now that we went down that road, let's make it fair to everyone and start voting on all the avatars.

Motivation to be offended is not something to be proud of.
This is a good point, some people are just voting this way because they're offended by Evenbob and not the butt. It's not even supposed to be considered to be a real vote. We can test it by having votes on every person's avatar posting. I'm kind of offended by the lewd act your avatar has of a man grinding his body on a cello.
