DP pays on 12 come out

I was playing an Individual Bubble Craps machine today. I had a $50 DP bet. The come out roll was a 12. I was surprised when the machine paid me.

It happened again and I mentioned it to the player next to me and he said that I must have some chip some where on the display. He looked at the display and the only bet on the display was my DP bet.

When it happened a third time, I said "look, it's paying me again." We couldn't understand why it was paying off on a 12 come out roll.

It happened a fourth time.

Has anyone else been paid on a DP come out 12?

Please don't ask what casino this was. That's my Advantage Play.

Maybe you were playing in Reno, where the bar number on tables is 2 (at least, it was the last time I looked...during the Reagan Administration)?

You sure it wasn’t just “paying you” your bet back? A lot of those slot table games show winnings including your bet, like if you bet $5, and $5 in odds and win $11 it’ll show +$21 as it takes your bet down and puts the dollars into your credit meter.

Yeah, it's just paying you your $50 DP bet back to you. If a 2 or 3 rolled, it'd pay you $100 back ($50 win + $50 bet).

It paid me $100 on the my $50 Don't Pass bet.

It happened 4 times. I even had the player next to me verify the payment when it happened the third time.

If it was paying you on the 12, the bar number must have been 2. Some places do it that way.

If DP is paying on 2, 3, and 12... I think you need to keep playing until they invite you to have a nice day someplace else.

In the UK the bar number has to be 2 ( https://www.ukcasinotablegames.info/dice.html or https://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/1970/803/pdfs/uksi_19700803_en.pdf ). btw the latter also defines the field bet as paying 3/1 on 12.

There was a Bar 12 on the DP line.

One time I had a $75 DP bet. The come out was a 12 and it paid me $75.

When it happened the player next to me came over.

He looked at the display and pointed out that in the upper right corner of the display there is a "LAST BET PAYS $150". It might have said "YOU WON $150".

The display still had my $75 on the DP.

When he saw that he agreed that the DP was paying on the come out roll of 12.

On the bubble craps I've seen, the DP bet comes down when it wins on a 12 and it pays off the bet amount (where it's a bar 12). Paying attention to these points becomes important if trying to bet low enough to win less than $1200 on the bet and the win in the USA for tax purposes.
