Indeed that one works, but I was referencing a URL that resolved all the way to a page name and file extension, which did not work.

The link I couldnt get to work is on a post I made earlier today. Given that Mike closed the thread and issued a warning to all posters, Im not going to reference it here. If you can find it, you will see the general URL form that didnt work for me.

The link worked for me - taking me to the NY Daily News article you referenced.
Did it NOT WORK, or not take you to the article you wanted? I mean, maybe there's pay-wall issues with the Daly News.
I know I prefer to use url=, because it's shorter.
Anyway, glad you're sorted out.
