Thread title length before getting cut off?

thought thread titles are cut off at 25 letters at most.
but QUIETEST AND BEST VEGAS ROOMS is 29 letters.
what's the cutoff limit?

Only by going to far can we truly understand our limits.
Make a thread with a ridiculously long title and see where it gets cut off. Repeat and if it it is after the same amount of letters, you have your answer.
I think most people would prefer it to stop at the last full word and have the ... in place.

I managed to get 26 before the system saw fit to append '...'
It looks like it's maybe 26 + 1 for a space Plus the 3 of '...' but if there is no need to reach 30 and the '...' is not required, then they can be used to make 30 characters.
