Hello. It’s 9/9 today and I was wondering if anyone has been to Vegas lately (specifically downtown). Basically, does it suck or not? Do you have closed restaurants and 2 people per crap table? Are all the amenities gone because of social distancing? I see people going in and out on the news and the unmasked crowd on Fremont street on YouTube but I’d like to hear from anyone who’s been there lately.
The best things in life are not free.

kewlj has talked about it since reopening. I was there July 4th weekend. Planned another trip August that cancelled and then rebooked for Oct. Talked to friends that live there. Is that recent enough? What are you asking exactly? Most casinos practice strict masking and cleansing procedures. Now the crowds on Fremont street are a different story, the only good thing being that they were preventing under 21 year olds on the east end/Freemont Experience side.

I haven't been downtown in a few days. Past 2 days have been 82 degrees and beautiful (our first days under 100 degrees in 5 months), so I didn't spend them in any casino. I also avoid downtown over holidays. I don't like crowded tables and conditions, even at 3 players per table (blackjack).

During weekday, during the day, which is when I usually visit a couple times a week, downtown is definitely much less crowded than pre-covid times. It is NOT like those pictures of the night they reopened and it was packed. Bars are closed (by Governor's orders), so there are no people milling around the bars, like at that long bar at the D. All the outdoor bars on Fremont Experience are closed (Governors order) I believe all downtown buffets are closed. The only buffets that are open in Vegas are 1 or 2 high end buffets on the strip that now serve you. Also Southpoint Buffet is open, also serving you.

Some of the other restaurants are closed, like the D grill and the hash house at the Plaza. Seigel's at El Cortez is open. Don't know about other restaurants. The Main Street Casino is still closed.

Tables games: Blackjack is 3 players to a table max (by Governors order). I don't know what the number of players for Craps is SUPPOSED to be. I have seen some tables with 8-9 players.

Masks: Initially they were very lax enforcing the mask rule, now inside casinos they are much more diligent. Outside, less so.

Didn't Sisolak just allow countertop service at bars to recommence as of this Wednesday?

Not statewide. Only certain counties with a low positive testing rate. I think Pahrump and Reno opened. Las Vegas is still closed.
