Benefit of the doubt time... Posting promotional links in your first few posts is normally seen as spamming, But if I take on trust that you have no vested interest, and it was not an affiliate link, and the post was on topic, so I'll fix the link for you... https://www.amazon.com/Strategic-Casino-Approach-Player-Development/dp/1987794516Quote: PlayerGreetings all. This book is a must read for anyone that wants to understand and better utilize comps when going through a host. I apologize if this is against the rules feel free to have a mod delete it. However, I have to bow to the judgement of other moderators who may choose to over-ride my leniency.
This is not an endorsement of the book by me.
Quote: https://www.amazon.com/Strategic-Casino-Approach-Player-Development/dp/1987794516This book is written for new Casino Hosts to explore the depth and breadth of your role, and for experienced Casino Hosts to take your game to the next level and prepare for the future. If you are a manager, this book may express ideas that you take for granted, and that you can use in coaching your team.
Quote: PlayerOnce dear, I am truly sorry, I just happened to see it in my book pile and thought it would be useful for the forum since it explains how hosts operate.
So, this book was published on Sept 28, 2018 - 2 weeks ago, and you just noticed it in your book pile and thought you'd mention it? As a member of less than a week?
I'm fine with you saying, hey I wrote a book y'all might like. That would be AFTER you asked Wizard if you could mention you wrote a book about hosting and link it. Or that you found a book people might find useful, if you're not the author.
There are several people on here who've written gaming books. And quite a few who've invented table games or sidebets. So I don't think the door is closed, if you approach it straight, to your having a good discussion and encouraging people to read the book.
But don't spam us, please.
Not just war stories as in Cyr's "Whale Hunt in the Desert."
Quote: PlayerI did not right the book. I got a copy and read it in three days. And that was it. I was cleaning my books up. I read about 3-4 a week and saw it. That’s all it was , I’m sorry didn’t mean to hurt anyone.
Naw, you're fine, thanks.
The cynic in me says spammer. The pragmatist says... On topic so some benefit of the doubt.I Defer to my fellow mods. If the link is to be redacted, I quite understand. OP, be cautioned that if you are 'earning' from this promotion, you will do us all a dis-service. I'm on the fence with this.Quote: beachbumbabsSo, this book was published on Sept 28, 2018 - 2 weeks ago, and you just noticed it in your book pile and thought you'd mention it? Its not a systems book
It is a book forum members here may be very interested in
Not sure why even if the person was financially involved that would be a problem. They should have asked the wizard first if so but they are a new member
Would the Wizard have refused if asked first. It seems a book his constituents would be interested in
