What is this 2nd grade? You were going to report his post cause it’s insulting? Geez there is nothing ban worthy in his post. The mods aren’t just here to listen to you complain about every comment you don’t like. You post nonsense, then you’re going to get people calling it nonsense. Can’t argue with facts.

Vote NO on Amendment 3 on Casino Gambling." I had no idea what Amendment 3 did, so I kind of put it in the wayside of my mind. Currently, my local radio station is running a Political ad begging listeners to vote NO on Amendment 3 for Casino Gambling. I thought back to the anti Amendment 3 flyers in the Casino and thought,"This has to be a big deal if a Casino and a local radio station are begging voters to vote NO on Amendment 3. I went to good old Google and looked up what Amendment 3 would do. Turns out, I was right. Voting yes on Amendment 3 would expand Florida Casino Gambling. The crux or the rub is that expanding Casino Gambling will take away a huge chunk of school funds in order to pay for the Casino Gambling. I feel we all ready have enough Casinos in current Florida(Hell just in Miami we have like 4 casinos and Broward the next County has like 6 Casino) and shouldn't be taking away a huge chunk of school funds just so adults could go sit up in more Casinos feeding money to games. School education is much more important than adults playing around.
Though I’m not shocked, you don’t understand the referendum. The debate is if the state should allow voters to determine if Florida should have normal American casinos like much of the country does. Of course the Indian casinos and glorified Bingo Halls that you frequent are against it. If you are in favor of free enterprise and better casino options you should be in favor of it.
School funding is a red herring being used to get you to vote against it. The legislature in Florida would determine how much the license would cost. It could t be like PA and the license cost would be a huge benefit to taxpayers. And then the casinos could determine if it was worth it to operate in Florida. Spoiler Alert, it will be regardless of the license cost.
I ask you this hopefully in terms you understand, why would the casinos you currently frequent be against competition?
Many casinos do something similar to what you are suggesting. You do understand why the casinos put winners on stage correct? It shows that people are really winning and gets other people excited about the giveaways the casino is having. You to too can be a winner at x casino.Quote: NathanI have an idea on how to prevent scumbags from targeting innocent winners in Casino. I think that free play winners should get free play on the cards automatically to ensure anonymity and safety of the gambler. For example, Sam Jones is playing at Coyote Moon slot. The voiceover says,"Sam Jones, you have won $500 in free play. Sam Jones instantly gets $500 in free play right on his card as he is playing at his seat. So many scumbags have harassed winners after they win money from a Promotion on stage in front of hundreds of people. A glaring example is a guy who said he won $500 in a giveaway Promotion on stage and two burly guys he had never seen before followed him back to where he had been playing when his name had been called for the giveaway. They sat on both of his sides, begun chatting him up without his consent and made the awkward "Joke,"(Really not a funny "Joke," at all)that he was buying dinner for all three of them. Luckily a Cocktail Waitress happened to be making her rounds and he gave her a look that clearly said,"These guys are harassing me. Get them away from me." She complied and got them to get away from him and he gave her a tip for helping him out. Situations like this is exactly why free play should automatically be given on the card and not on stage.
The 2 burly men don't seem very smart if they are targeting $500 free play winners.

The thing is, the majority of Casinos in Miami and Broward are not Indian Casinos
Indian Casinos. Hard Rock Creek, Hard Rock Seminole, , Miccousoukee, Hard Rock Classic Hollywood,
Non Indian Casinos
Hialeah, Casino Miami, Calder, The Big Easy, Gulfstream Park, Magic City, Dania Beach, Isle Pompano. As you can see, there are more non Indian Casinos than Indian Casinos. :)

Correct, they are glorified Bingo Halls. Do you understand what that means?

Bingo Halls where elderly people play like a dollar and hope they get to say,"BINGO!" and win like $10. :) I have a Bingo Hall near me that does Bingo on Wednesday. Hey, today's Wednesday, maybe some elderly people will get to say,"BINGO!" today! :)

Ok, Nathan, here's what's going on with Amendment 3.
In Florida, most of the school funding depends on gambling taxes, paid by casinos to the state.
Amendment 3 would STOP new casinos coming in by any other means than people voting them in. It makes it harder for them to build.
3 gives the voters nothing. We already have that power. It STOPS the normal legislative process of approving through the governor's office and/or the Florida Senate and House approving them.
3 is sponsored by Disney, who DOESN'T want casinos at all, and Seminole Indians, who DON'T want more competition. Disney has provided over 19 million, and the Seminole over 16 million, to air commercials that lie about what the amendment would do.
The people saying NO are the casinos you play, like Hialeah and Gulfstream, because they're not allowed to offer table games and other things they want to do. Only the Native American casinos can do some of those things. Other companies saying NO are big casino companies like Las Vegas have, because they're not allowed to build in the state.
The casinos you go to are racetracks that are allowed to offer poker rooms. In your counties only (Broward and Miami-Dade), they can also offer slots. The rest of the state can't even do that much. There are more in your area because you have so many racetracks there, but they're small and limited, and they can't build new ones because all the racetracks are already doing it, and nobody else is allowed to.
The schools would get much more money if the state allowed more casinos. The games the casinos offered would get better for the players if there was more competition between more casinos, and if casinos were allowed to offer all the same things.
You would think YES on an amendment would be FOR those things, but that's how they're trying to fool you. They wrote it the opposite way, so by voting YES, you're voting for LESS. You're voting to make it harder for casino companies to build.
Vote NO to keep from stifling competition. Vote NO to help the other casinos get better games by being given permission to compete.
Personally, I'm voting NO. I live in a country that supports competition and free enterprise, which is better for us, the players . But it's up to you.
As to Bingo, that's one that the Seminole Indians can do that the others can't. The Native Americans started with bingo and then grew casinos from there.
In Florida outside the Reservations, Bingo (where you buy cards) can only be offered at non-profit organizations like Elks Clubs, churches, or places where it's a Bingo hall, but those kind of organizations sponsor a night or a game on a schedule. But the Seminoles (Hard Rock) have 4 bingo sessions a day in their own hall. No real competition from the other casinos.
The racetracks like Hialeah and Gulfstream aren't allowed to offer it. Yeah, they do "free" bingo cards sometimes as a promotion, just to say they have bingo. But they're just trying to get bingo players in there to pull slots.

It just recently occurred to me less than an hour ago that the "Helpful Cocktail Waitress," could have been in on it. The fact that she just happened to walk by just as the burly men were harassing him after he won the $500 on free play is a little suspect. What's to say the burly men and the Waitress didn't plan together for harassing whoever won the free play, and she walks by, and "Saves," the gambler from further harassment by "Making," the burly men leave? And then the three of them later on in private split whatever tip she gets for "Helping," the gambler out? I mean a $20 tip split between 3 people doesn't seem that much for just one time, but do it 5 days a week for like a month with like 5 different people everyday and it's a slightly lucrative scam. That's $2,000 split between 3 people for just over $666 each person.
As for the others, would it be tacky to give them as xmas gifts?
Nothing profiting $5 is ever lucrative unless you can do it 50 times in a day. Most won't tip for this as well.Quote: NathanIt just recently occurred to me less than an hour ago that the "Helpful Cocktail Waitress," could have been in on it. About the internet cafes, I remember a long time ago, there was one near my job, and I hadn't visited in a week. You could buy an internet voucher for up to $70 for a lot of Internet time. Or you could put like $10 for about 3 hours. I had enough for one more session. When I came back, it had turned into a restaurant! WTF! For some stupid reason,I thought that the internet Cafe had rented out the space to the restaurant for the night and the internet Cafe would be back the next day. Stupid, I know.
The next day, I went back to use up my final session, and the restaurant was still there. My glaring red flag alert was blaring really loudly and I asked the Waiter, "What happened to the Internet Cafe?" He responded,"They went out of business a few days ago." Oh crap. I felt so sorry for the people who bought the $70 internet card. My then coworker soon mentioned she had been there the night before they closed and paid for a $20 internet card and they didn't even let her know that they were going to go out of business the very next day.. She said they stole her money and like me felt sorry for the people who bought the $70 internet card. I mentioned this before, and Babs told me that a lot of the internet Cafes are getting suddenly shut down because actually fronts for money laundering, which makes sense.

When I was young, I ordered food at a mall restaurant, ordered Bourbon chicken, looked up and asked the lady if they had egg rolls. Turned out she was Asian, but it wasn't a Chinese restaurant. I thought it was, but it was the context my mind was thinking of at the time where Asian lady +Bourbon chicken=Chinese food. My younger friends laughed, but I wasn't trying to be funny, it was an accident.Quote: NathanAbout the internet cafes, I remember a long time ago, there was one near my job, and I hadn't visited in a week. Florida must be really lax in the health regulation department for there to be an Internet cafe one week and a restaurant the next, in the same space.

It's a free country, and we disagree on this. But vote as you like.
You no longer have any right to whine about bad comps or cheap casino gifts or lousy paying games, though. You forfeit all of that when you stifle competition that would improve those things in your area, by voting yes.

You get a nice look at who proposed them, who supports them, and who opposes them.
Here's the Amendment 3 part.
Quote:Amendment 3
This amendment gives voters the exclusive right to decide whether a new casino can open in the state. It takes that right away from the Florida Legislature, which has failed in recent years to reach an agreement on the issue.
The amendment would categorize card games, casino games and slot machines as casino gambling, and require anyone who wanted to build a casino to get hundreds of thousands of signatures to get it on the ballot and then hope for voter approval. This would make it more difficult for any dog track or horse track wishing to expand its gaming to do so.
Currently, the Seminole tribal compact, agreed to in 2015 with the state, gives casinos exclusive rights to operate craps, roulette, black jack at its five properties.
The amendment was placed on the ballot after the anti-gambling expansion group Voters in Charge collected more than 766,000 validated voters' signatures.
Who supports it: Seminole Tribe of Florida and Disney because the amendment would make it harder to expand gambling. The two groups have spent nearly $40 million campaigning for Amendment 3.
Who opposes it: Owners of dog and horse tracks because they would need statewide voter approval to add casino gambling at each track.

Well if they have spent forty million in ads, lobbyists, etc. can somebody work out for me what that might have meant in terms of 3:2 blackjack or average slot machine payback or something.
Local internet café here closed years ago but recently reopened. Only deals in merchandise but merchandise includes cash cards. Buying internet time is strange because the internet café is in a wireless hotspot and you can get internet access for free without buying nothing if you in the laundramat next door. Or perhaps we should just view it as two laundramats side by side: one for clothes, one for drug/prostitution money.
Wish I had gone into that business. (Internet cafes). Must be great to sell that which is available for free.
