No offense, that's opinion. You offered no statistics

How can I?

Only the owners can show their ad effective rates, and they are not going to.

But, it is basic buisness, they want people to gamble and theirs, and their partners casinos, their goal is more link clicks....

I offered evidence of the ad changes before and after the deal, which is the only thing somebody from the public (not on the inside) can do......

But new owners = more ads and more "approved" casinos.... seems pretty straightforward

But, if not, then again the politics threads do not even serve the secondary purpose.

This general statement is starting to annoy me, that I might have to start a politics only forum and put casino links and see if it makes money.

It only changed after the ownership change, under Wizard's ownership, he only had one (unless I am recalling wrong). The new owners, own online casinos, so of course they want their's approved....

That's correct, and I could be mistaken, but I believed that Wizard had mentioned that he might need to move away from having a single exclusive online casino prior to the sites being sold. Do the new owners own online casinos? I've never looked into that. My understanding is that we just advertise for them as an affiliate.

Quote:

I agree about the initial intent, but again that is not who owns it now (and look at the different ads on wizard of odds as well).

The primary goal of the new owners is to get people to gamble online in theirs or one of their sponsored deal casinos (none of which are state regulated casinos). This site is just one of many that they own to drive towards that goal.

That's like saying the Wizard's, "Goal," was to get people to gamble at Bovada. He certainly needed people to do so in order for the sites to be profitable, but I don't know that was the, "Goal." Again, I'm doing a really poor job with some of the stuff I write if I am supposed to be attracting people to online casinos. It seems, more than ever, when I do talk about them I talk about how promotions either cannot practically be beaten or how the rules should deter one from trying to do so.

Quote:

This forum if anything is probably a hindrance, because as you have said people post about bad games, HE, etc... So honestly the forum slowing down or even dying is quite possibly in their overall interest....

Again, if the goal was to hide any of these things, then I am sure I would have been asked to change some of the things that I have written. I think that the owners of the sites value honesty in the writing, if a set of terms and conditions sucks, I say that it sucks.

Quote:

Again, I don't inherently disagree with the rule, I just stand by what I said, it will slow traffic, and it will skew posts, but that is likely the goal.

Maybe. I don't know what the goal is other than the stated goal. Whatever the goal is, I am personally satisfied with the side effects, if that is what they are.

I don't know if DT was sold or not, it still has the classic formatting (that this site used to), and I don't see any ads (I have only briefly glanced at it so could be wrong). But, DT is really only known about by people on here (I don't think anyone who is not a member here randomly joins DT just to discuss politics, because there are better sites for that with far more active bases, really the only advantage it has, is continuing discourse with some people from this site).

DT was not sold and there is one ad belonging to an attorney who is friends with Wizard.

Quote:

I am active on very few forums, I enjoy this one because I love gambling, and it has a lot of interesting perspectives from very well versed people.

Your articles are great, but, would you really be asked to write a bunch of articles about online gaming? It is a limited subject, it is much better advertising to have a great article, and on the side some "reccomded casinos ".....

I'm not really talking so much about what I have been asked to write, it's actually more about the fact that I have never been asked NOT to write something. Nothing I have ever written that has stated anything negative about any online casino has ever been removed or edited. I've never been asked to tone anything down. If an online casino sucks, I can say it sucks without the slightest concern for reprimand or censorship.

No problem, that's why I said no offense, but still wasn't what I asked for.

Yes he/she would fit right in with most of the mods with these veiled personal attacks...

""Use your common sense.
Threads titled "Things I have Stuck Up My Rectum" that include a picture of your head ""

This reminds me why I don't come here much any more. Are all gambling types sanctimoniously narcissistic personalities, or just on gambling forum sites like wov?
And yes, that's a free one right out in the open.

Enjoy the new rule and work it out folks.

The notional thread that I defined titled "Things I have Stuck Up My Rectum" that include a picture of your head was meant to be a humorous reference to hypothetical threads in the future that are in bad taste and that inherently make the OP of such a thread look stupid. It was absolutely not targeted at any individual or any specific post that anyone has made. I have no idea why anyone would interpret it as a veiled personal attack - exactly whom am I supposed to be attacking behind my veils?

Also you snipped out a large portion of my post to make it appear that "Use your common sense" was juxtaposed with Threads titled "Things I have Stuck Up My Rectum" that include a picture of your head; which really changed the meaning of what I posted, making it sound like I was rebuking someone. That's against the forum rules.

And "sanctimoniously narcissistic personalities" is getting close to the line too.

Come on Mission, the owners didnít buy this site for over 2M to help gamblers. Or any other reason other than to attract customers to online casinos that PAY them for clicking links.

Hopefully I know you well enough that you understand EVERYTHING they do is to get people to those online casinos. Itís the ONLY way they get their money back.

Anything they pay you is in regards to helping them to that end.

I doubt they would even deny it. And itís the only way they get their return on investment. Surely you understand that.

Exactly, everyone on this site is skeptical of all casino owners and managment (I was once, some years back, even accused of being a sellout for siding with Harrah's managment in a thread -I don't even remeber the details- I just remeber I kept being referred to as Gary Loveman for the longest time, even though ironically I had a history of not being a fan of Caesars properties, anyway- ....) except for when it comes to the owners of this site, people are willingly putting on their blinders....

I think if this site has been successful at all c(and seems it has) there is proof of contrary goals. Lots of talk about AP, or just better playing, yet the casinos links are here to take your money, not give you any. That's contrary goal success.
