Question
Any thoughts on Ken Jennings' run as Jeopardy! guest host? How would you handicap his chances of becoming Trebek's permanent replacement?
Have you tried 22 tonight? I said 22.

I've only just seen the second episode so guess he would not yet be settled in, he did a good job. I think it's difficult to take over hosting a well known show when the previous host made such an impact. Some shows in the UK have resorted to guest hosts but the quiz based ones have tended to announce a replacement.

I am ready to believe that the people who brought us the current version of Jeopardy vowed to never mention Art Fleming's name after Fleming declined to be a part of it. It is clear that he has nearly been forgotten, whatever the reason. I find it remarkable that he also died of pancreatic cancer, yet his name is never mentioned, not even in this connection.

I know you don't want to make any comments about political stuff, but I'd really like to see if you can address this topic in a way in which you are comfortable.

Lately, 'educators' of a type, some of whom are in a position to have effect, have decided that the way math has been taught is racist. "Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation is bankrolling a group of activists who believe math is racist" is one of the claims that comes up if you google it, for example. Now I know you are unlikely to comment directly on that. However, I wonder if you'd answer a less charged question about it, so this is what I have come up with:

A persistent problem is that some minority students, Black and Hispanic in particular, fall markedly behind White and Asian students in learning math. Do you think it possible the math is taught in such a way that these students have less of a chance, that there might be a way to teach it that is neutral towards ethnicity, that just isn't being done?

During the last live stream you said that you never heard of the "comp killer" roulette system.
Below is a link to it.
I'm not that good at math and have no idea how to figure out the house advantage of that system
and then compare it to the expected comp value of the bets.
Is it possible to figure out?
Is it worth it?

Assuming you're referring to placing 29 numbers (such that you wager $170 per spin: 6x$25 on the corners and 5x$5 on other numbers) you eek out profit while they come in but obviously lose when the other numbers hit. This costs you on average (House Edge double zero) just under $9 each spin. I do agree that you're better off playing at a busier table as tey rate you on average bet and time.

If you were going to gamble anyway, another way is to just play $170 on the layout and have more fun. Whether this is better value than the comps you receive is a matter of choice.
