CNF fees at Strip bars and restaurants. They're sneakier than resort fees.

Good one. For the benefit of others -- What can you tell us about these 4.7% CNF fees, that restaurants are adding on our bills?

Note to myself -- Mention "free play" scams for signing up for a player card.

and the loss rebates that new player's are offered that come with undisclosed, vague, changeable, and generally undesirable conditions

But I think one of the worst thing casinos do is to allow a player to bet an amount that will incur short-pay due to an imposed payout maximum - Mission calls these "loss rebates for the casino". At least they could advise players what the max bet would be that does not get clipped.

"Free" girls to your room.

I have to admit that's a new one to me. I live a sheltered life I guess.
the next time Dame Fortune toys with your heart, your soul and your wallet, raise your glass and praise her thus: “Thanks for nothing, you cold-hearted, evil, damnable, nefarious, low-life, malicious monster from Hell!” She is, after all, stone deaf. ... Arnold Snyder

Haven't you seen these roving billboards all over the Strip?

I somehow converted the topic from "Vegas scams" to "casino scams" in my mind ~ and was wondering if casinos really were capable of making the offer of girls sent to your room. What a comp! [Well, there has been the suggestion that anything can be arranged for a big enough whale]

I'm going to try to keep the show focused on non-gambling scams.

Casino hosts are not supposed to offer anything illegal as a comp. However, it is Vegas and about some things there is a "don't ask - don't tell" policy.

Although I am sure it has happened, I have never heard of a host supplying a prostitute. I think they just recommend that you talk to the Bell Desk for that.

The Bell Desk would have nothing to do with arranging that.

Gov. Sisolak issues stay at home order, activates state National Guard.

As public figures (trying to keep a straight face as I say that), Heather and I have chosen to respect the order and cancel live streams effective today and until the state of emergency is lifted. I have thought about doing them by myself, as Heather often does her show, but I hate sitting there in an empty room talking to myself.

I apologize to my audience.
