I'm going do my first Wizard LiveStream tomorrow. I previously did one with our own Vegas Aces, but this time it will go to my YouTube channel and focus around me. I will also be a guest on Heather's (Vegas Aces) live feed, but not sure what roll I'll play. Here are the times and links:

So what would you do on "Deal or No Deal"? In your scenario there are two suitcases remaining: one in your possession and one still available. One case contains a penny, the other case contains $1,000,000 and the Banker is offering $400k for you to just walk away. Is there a mathematical best play here à la the Monty Hall problem or is it merely a coin toss 50-50 situation with a tempting but undervalued banker offer on the side?

This has been discussed before, but you have to consider the wealth of the player. Let's call the wealth the player, not counting any winnings from the show, w. Let me ignore the penny and assume the other case has zero. He should be indifferent to an offer of $400,000 at w, where:
ln(w+400000) = .5*ln(1000000+w) + .5*ln(w)
ln(w+400000) = .5*ln((1000000+w)*w)
ln(w+400000) = ln((1000000w + w^2)^0.5
w + 400000 = (w^2 + 1000000w)^0.5
(w + 400000)^2 = w^2 + 1000000w
w^2 + 800000*w + 160,000,000,000 = w^2 + 1000000w
160,000,000,000 = 200,000 w

So, if the player has wealth of less than $800,000, not counting anything from the show, then take the offer, flip a coin at exactly $800,000, and reject at more.

Probably cant watch more because my hours have changed
I switched accounts at work and my clients are mostly on the West Coast so working west hours now even though live east coast, 1130am EST to 730pm EST :-(

I would make it a point to tune in if you could get Nathan, Kentry, and Luscious Sweet on at the same time. There has to be a lottery prediction though.😀

I saw a little of the first show, the discussion about what might be a safe spread to avoid detection at the BJ table, as I recall the Wiz's suggestion was 1:4 or maybe it was 1:5. Probably right, when I used to alternate between table min and table max on a 25 to 2500 (the limit at that time) table, I eventually got banned after a multi day heavy winning streak. When that happened to me, it had nothing to do with detecting counting it just had to do with the big spread and that I was winning too consistently. They even told me that they "knew" I wasn't counting but just couldn't figure out how or why I was winning so much. Quite right - count alone could not justify a 100X jump in bet.
However, it depends on the casino, the Hard Rock Vegas, especially during the time Peter Morton owned it, was very aggressive about booting BJ counters. They didn't care how little your spread was, or even if you were losing, I had friends booted simply because the casino detected card counting, any sort of consistent bet increase to the count was frowned on.

Good point. In my defense, it is 6:00 eastern time. Heather does hers at 2:00 so it's convenient for me to go right after. Still, I'll consider it.
